Hello Beautiful Ladies,

Today I will be reviewing another beauty from China glaze and this time it is one of their crackle nail polishes. I wanted China glaze since the time I heard about it and so when they came to India I got few, but when I saw this one few months back I found it something different. It is a crackle nail polish which is available in many brands, but this has sparkles too, so basically it’s a sparkly crackle nail polish, which I haven’t seen with any other brand.

Packaging: It’s a typical china glaze bottle with a black cap, name of the color is mentioned on the base.
Ingredients: List of ingredients is mentioned beneath the sticker that contains the name of the polish .

China Glaze presents Crackle Nail lacquer, with an effect that appears to blast apart on your nails. Each blasted nail dries differently with an unpredictable cracked design that reveals the color underneath

How to use

Apply a base nail lacquer color and let it completely dry. Now apply a coat of Crackle Glaze and let it dry for 3-5 minutes. Then seal the design with a top coat.

My take on China Glaze Crackle Glaze Nail Lacquer Luminous Lavender

Luminous Lavender is a very pretty purple color with lots and lots of sparkles, it’s basically a sparkle nail polish that can be used both as a top coat on some other color or can also be used alone. But the special point about this one is that it cracks and thus looks better with a base color.

Being a bright purple, I assumed that it would look good on a white base, but when I tried it on white, the cracks were not visible at all, then I tried it on black and I found that it looks much better with black. This polish does crack, but the cracks made are quite big, and thus only 4-5 cracks per nail are visible. Usually when we apply a thick coat of crackle polish, the effect is not so good, but this is different, a thin coat of the color does not make the cracks visible. A thick coat is what you need to make the color crack.

Now coming to the Glitter, it’s beautiful, looks perfect for a party and the best part is that it is not so difficult to remove. I love glitter nail colors but removing them is such a time consuming job, but this is comparatively easy to remove. When applied without a top coat, the color easily stays for 5 days after which it starts fading from the top, which does not look weird as it looks like cracks. Drying takes a little longer with this and that is due to the glitter and the thick coat that needs to be applied.

Overall experience: As I already said that this is something I haven’t seen before, so concept wise I liked it, a glitter polish that cracks is a little difficult to find, but overall I wasn’t very happy with the polish. Firstly because it doesn’t show up well on many colors, secondly as it requires a thick coat to crack properly and thus it might look clumsy on nails.

Pros of China Glaze Crackle Glaze Nail Lacquer: Luminous Lavender:

• Pretty shade with a unique concept of crackle with glitters
• Looks good with a dark color underneath
• Stays easily for 5 days even without a top coat
• Dries within 5 minutes
• Glitters are not so difficult to remove
• Although 600 bucks for a nail paint is a lot but when you get a good quantity and glitters and crackle, it’s worth the price

Cons of China Glaze Crackle Glaze Nail Lacquer: Luminous Lavender:

• Requires a thick coat for cracks to be visible and so might turn out looking weird
• I wish that it had better cracks, but it actually gives only few cracks per nail

Would I buy China Glaze Crackle Glaze Nail Lacquer: Luminous Lavender again?

Yes I would try at least one other shade from this line.

Absolutely! Glitters with crackle is a rare combination.
