Clarins Instant Smooth Foundation Review

Clarins Instant Smooth Foundation Review

I am not a fan of mousse foundations, but I have heard that mousse foundations are lightweight and they give matte finish to the face.  So, I wanted to try mousse foundation since long.  When I saw the Clarins foundation in a store, I got excited and told the SA to swatch it. I loved the creamy texture and the coverage of this foundation, so I bought it. I’m using it from the past 1.5 month regularly and today I will be sharing my experience with you all.

My Experience with Clarins Instant Smooth Foundation:

Clarins Instant Smooth Mousse Foundation comes in a transparent jar packaging with a silver screw cap on top. There is no plastic separator provided to prevent leakage.  A spatula came with the packaging to scoop out the desired amount of product, but I don’t know where my spatula has got lost. The packaging is very unhygienic as you need to dip your fingers in it and it’s even worse if you have long nails like me. The jar is a little heavy so it’s not travel friendly.

Clarins Instant Smooth Foundation

The texture of the mousse foundation is not thick as imagined by me. In fact it’s creamy and soft which blends into my skin within seconds. It gives a semi-matte finish to my face which is why I love it the most. I don’t like dewy or completely matte finish so semi-matte finish is just perfect for my liking. You just need a little quantity for each application as a little goes a long way. It is oil-free and hydrates my skin for long without making it oily. The texture is medium but one can build it accordingly. It never looks cakey even when applied in more layers. It conceals my light acne marks and dark circles to a great extent. It is water-resistant which is perfect for summers. The staying power is also impressive as it stays for 7-8 hours even after long sun exposure and travelling.

Clarins Instant Smooth Foundation

It contains silicone which is a negative point for those who are allergic to silicone and have sensitive skin. I am using it regularly but I have not experienced any break out, but if you have sensitive skin, it can be harmful for your skin. Overall, I really like it as it suits my skin well.
