My Experience with Clarins Sun Wrinkle Control Cream for Face

I trust Clarins with their sunscreens. I go through so many bottles of Clarins Sunscreens and I never get enough of them. I picked up this Clarins Face Cream with SPF 50 recently and I think it is one of my fav sunscreen so far amongst all the Clarins sunscreens I have tried so far.

First, I love the bright yellow sunshine packaging. It comes in a simple tube with flip top cap Although I have to clean the inside of the cap every few days because the product gets accumulated around the nozzle and on the top. Still no issues.

It has a thin creamy texture that gets absorbed within seconds on the skin and does not leave any trace of whitish cast behind. Very important for me. I can’t stand that whitish cast the sunscreens leave behind. Once it gets absorbed, there is nothing left on your skin except a little dewiness that the sunscreen imparts.

I would say that this sunscreen is meant only for those with normal to dry skin. It is hydrating and leaves a little shine behind. In august when I started using it, I felt it made my face look quite shiny. But as the weather has changed a bit and my skin is drier now, it adds lovely dewiness to my skin.

It has a nice floral fragrance. I find it a bit strong but I have also gotten used to it. But those with sensitive nose might find it quite annoying. Infact I could do with a little lighter fragrance.

It has never broken me out. I like that it is high SPF cream but still does not feel heavy on the skin.It also has sun protection from both UVA and UVB rays. I can easily use it as a base of my makeup and it does not interfere with my makeup. It does not make me sweaty. A little goes a long way. Infact if you use too much of it, it would make you look oil-slick.

The SPF 50+ would also be great for travelling on beach destinations to prevent from tanning and very harsh sun rays. Although since it feels lightweight on skin, I am very happily using it as my everyday sunscreen. 🙂

Overall, I am very happy with this sunscreen. It has everything I look for in my sunscreen. Would be repurchasing it many times. 🙂
