Clé de Peau Beauté Silky Cream Foundation SPF 23 review

My Experience with Clé de Peau Beauté Silky Cream Foundation SPF 23
This is the first time I’m using Cle de Peau products. I picked up a couple of them during my recent trip. And honestly, considering these are some super high end luxury products, I have very expectations from them. I have been using their concealer, foundation and primer non stop from past one month and I am in love!

Cle De Peau Silky Foundation comes in this gorgeous midnight blue squeeze tube. The cap top has a gold logo embossed on it. The tube has a nozzle that helps in controlling the amount of product.
This foundation comes in 8 shades. I use it in the shade B30, which is pretty much a okay match for my skin.

This foundation was love at first swipe.
It is a medium to buildable coverage foundation. I mean you could totally build it up to a full coverage without making it look heavy or cakey. It goes on the skin smoothly and looks natural once blended. It neither feels heavy on skin nor looks heavy. But it being a buildable foundation yo0u can totally take it from day to evening. It does not accentuate the pores, nor does it settles in fine lines. I have normal to dry skin and even in these winters it keeps my skin comfortable. It does not oxidize.

I’d call the finish natural and slightly dewy. It is neither matte nor too dewy. I have used it with my finger tips, brush and a sponge. I liked using finger tips and sponge the most with this foundation. This foundation should work for all skin types barring someone with very oily skin because this is not a mattifying foundation. It is not only a great everyday foundation, it is an excellent evening foundation too.

The staying power is pretty much all day long. I have worn it for 8-9 hours and it looks pretty good at the end of the day as well. It is a very pigmented foundation so you need less product per usage. It doe snot have any significant perfume to it. There is a very light fragrance to it and I quite like it. It is barely noticible though.

The cons would be the price. It is a very expensive foundation as it is a 25 ml tube. Most foundations come in 30 ml packaging. Second, people with dark skin tones would not find their color in the range. Also, I feel the color range is a bit tricky. The range is not huge so you always have to pick the closest match and it might not be the exact match to your skintone.

Given a choice, I would definitley repurchase this foundation. I have barely used any other foundation in past month. It goes on the skin within seconds, blends like a dream and you are set. I am addicted. 😛
