My Experience with Clean and Clear Essentials Face Powder – Naturally Beige:

Let’s begin the review with the packaging of the product. The face powder pan comes in a blue and purple coloured cardboard box bearing all the necessary product related information. The face powder comes in a sleek circular plastic pan. The pan is pure white in colour and has the face powder placed at its centre. The lid of this pan is baby pink in colour. The lid is a typical flip flop cap that fits securely and makes this pan travel-friendly. There is a small circular mirror attached to this lid that serves nicely during touch up. The applicator of this face powder is average. It has a regular porous sponge applicator that is pretty ordinary but, it works nicely to dab the product all over the face. Overall, the packaging is simple and user-friendly.

The shade is “Naturally Beige” and this product comes with only one choice. Therefore, it will not be suitable for other skin tones. Luckily, this shade goes well with my skin tone. This shade is apt for fair to medium skin tones as it sets like a loose powder or setting powder but it does not provide any coverage. Being sheer in terms of pigmentation, it will serve as a loose powder for almost every Asian skin tone.

The texture of the powder is soft and smooth but, it is not very feathery smooth. It feels kind of chalky at times but, it does not appear chalky after application. It blends into the skin like a dream. It never feels heavy on the skin. The powder gives a gorgeous matte finish. But, it is poorly pigmented and it does not cover any blemishes or scars. Therefore, for me, I used this face powder to dab it on top of my bb creams and foundations to get an oil-free and mattified look. This really works well as a setting powder. I have a combination skin and it controls oil up to four hours in this hot and humid weather at my place. On other days, I simply prefer to dab it all over my face and achieve that oil-free natural finish. It is so smooth and it just blends easily into the skin. As it is a lightweight powder, it does not even look like that I have applied anything on my face.

I have a sensitive, combination-oily skin and it does control oil to some great extent. It works amazingly as a mattifying powder. It never breaks me out. The brand claims that this product is suitable for teens. Having said that this face powder works great for me too and I am no more in my teens. Overall, this is a great face powder. It works effectively on my skin. Though the 8-hour oil control claim is too far-fetched but it keeps my skin matte and oil free for more than 4 hours in a humid climate.
