I got this Clinique brush two weeks back and this is my first purchase from Clinique in terms of a makeup brush. They had very little stock in the store and this was perhaps the cheapest in the lot (1500!!!) anyway, I really was impressed with the unique size of the brush. I picked up keeping in mind, the powder brush for next time.

One thing I would like to clarify is that they looks raw due to the color of the bristles, but then they are very soft, they would not poke at all.I was little skeptical about the shape of the brush in the tester pack and the original pack, since the used brush looked very frayed. When I started using mine, I washed it more than a couple of times, the softness and the shape is intact.

The brush is soft, it does not poke.If you apply it flat, it even feels stiff enough to use or pat any shadow. It is quite nice in terms of quality no doubt but it surely comes with a hefty price tag.It also dries super quick and the guard it comes with works nice as storage.

The brush comes in the most beautiful slender slanting silvery handle which says Clinique eye shader. I wish the print is on always, would be sad to see it rub off since the brush is too glam for words. The brush is medium long, not annoyingly long. The slender shapely handle really looks super nice.

The brush is much larger than any regular brush for the eyes you might have seen. This is called shader but the instructions read using this brush to apply eye shadow all over the lid and brown bone too.You can ideally dust a lighter nude shadow all over the lid, then go in with a crease color and use the angle on the crease, at a straight angle.

Then you can go flat with the brush and use the color that is shiny, on the center of the lid. You can use it vertically, angular or horizontally, to apply pat, fill in crease and so much more. You can even blend with this. Just be careful do not have too much powder on the brush.

Then the beauty of this brush is that you can use it to contour the nose, to highlight high cheek bone and to also contour under the hollow of the cheek. This is a very versatile brush to own.

Coming to the downside, this brush shed around 4-5 hair in the first wash, no color though. This was little disappointing since I was not hoping it to shed for the amount that it comes in.Next wash on wards there was no shedding. If you lay it flat, the shape gets slightly flat, after drying. If you keep it open ended, the brush dries more rounded. So see how you like it.
Little shedding:

Overall a very nice versatile brush to own, may be a little overpriced for the brand name but I quite love it.

  1. The brush is too glam neha, I would have liked it if were a little more dense, hai na? and it’s clinique ka brush……wow!

  2. this brush looks so good..I love the clean silver handle it has..But ya it could be disappointing if the brush sheds in the very first wash. I find it a little expensive too .
