My Experience with Clinique Love at First Sight Long Last Glosswear:

The gloss comes in a classic cylindrical plastic tube packaging, as with all other glosses, and has a simple slant tip applicator. Mine is a deluxe size and hence is little smaller when compared to the original tube. The wand is nothing extraordinary or new, but does its work well and applies the gloss flawlessly on the lips. It does not pick up enough product to be applied in one go, so you will have to dip it in the tube a couple of times.

The gloss is really thick, like seriously thick. So, you need to apply just a little bit of it and it will last a long time. The shade is aptly described as Pink lilac. It has a little shimmer in it, but it is not over the top and gives a nice shine to the lips. Pigmentation is good according to the gloss, but it’s still sheer on the lips. This shade is too light for my pigmented lips and the color does not show at all on my pigmented lips. It just gives a nice healthy sheen to them. I usually layer it on a lipstick or lip liner to add shine to it. The gloss is very sticky in texture, but then, this is the reason which makes the gloss long lasting. It has to stick to our lips for staying on for long.

The shimmers are not gritty at all, they are very fine and you won’t feel it on your lips at all. Also, they do not look over the top and the best part is that the glitter does not travel on the face at all. The gloss does not bleed or settle into the lip lines at all. The glitter particles come off easily with a make-up remover.

The staying power is great too. The gloss lasted on me for more than 6-7 hours with snacks and water. Though the color faded in around 2 hours, the shine stayed on my lips. It did feel a bit heavy on my lips, but the heaviness and sticky nature makes it long lasting.

Also, the gloss is very moisturizing. My dry lips do not need any lip balm till the gloss is on my lips. There is no taste to the gloss and also I could not notice any fragrance. Great for people with sensitive noses. 🙂

  1. 6-7 hours is such a good staying time for a gloss. I am not a gloss lover, but impressed with this one. Not sure about shimmer though. :/

    1. these glosses have really good staying power, try out other shades from the range….less shimmery ones 🙂
