My Experience with Clinique Rinse-Off Foaming Cleanser:

Let us start with my skin type – I have dry skin which turns dry-combination in summers, but it is super sensitive and tends to react with anything and everything. I usually try to stay away from cream cleansers; no specific reason, I just feel they don’t clean my skin efficiently. 🙁 Was Clinique Rinse-Off Foaming Cleanser able to change my thoughts about them? Let us see.

The cleanser comes in a simple, light pink, translucent tube packaging with a flip-top cap. Since mine is a travel-size tube, it is perfect for tossing in your bag. The tube is kind of see-through which is good as we know when we are running out of the product. The cleanser is pearly white in color, velvety soft and thick in consistency. However, only a pea-sized amount is required per use so product would last really long. It does foam well. It provides dense, rich foam with just a small amount of product, so a little goes a long way. Cleanser gets rinsed off easily and I don’t have to go over again and again, which is the case with some cleansers.

Clinique claims that the cleanser is 100% fragrance free and this claim stands true. I cannot detect any fragrance in the product. The product is suited for skin-types 2 and 3 which is dry-combination or combination oily which fits my bill. Though the tube says that the product is best suited for normal skin. I have not faced any issues with it. It does clean up my skin without making it dry or stretchy, but a moisturizer is anyway a must for me.. My hubby has normal skin and it does the job for him too. And keeping up with the Clinique quality, it did not break me out.

Coming to the claims of removing makeup, it falls just a little short. It does remove light makeup such as BB creams etc, but for heavy makeup, I prefer using it after I remove my makeup as I could almost always find residue on the cotton pad while toning. I use just sunscreen on a daily basis, so no major concerns here for me. Also, it does not remove eye liner in one go (as you can see in the swatches), plus it does burn if gets in the eyes. Hence, I prefer using it after removing the makeup so that it cleans up any residue left. As marketed, this product would suit skin types 2 and 3 as it might dry out very dry skinned beauties and will not give effective cleansing to the oily skinned ones.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Clinique Rinse-Off Foaming Cleanser?
I use it as a second step after removing the makeup, and I did not see any changes in my skin after using this. Any other cleanser would work in this place as well. Though it has changed my views about cream cleansers, I am not sure if I will repurchase this. But I would surely recommend this to anyone who uses light makeup daily as it would surely simplify their routine.
