Colorbar All Day Rose Gold Lip and Cheek Color Blush Stick Review

So, Colorbar recently launched their “Lip and Cheek” collection and I picked the shade in “Rose Gold” since I am in love with highlighters for my cheeks. I am not much into cream blushes but I had a good experience in the past, so thought of trying one. Read for more details about this shade now 🙂

How To Use:
Apply on cheeks and eyes directly, in the desired motion. Blend with fingers by tapping in smoothing motion for perfect blending. Apply on the lips directly by putting a thick outline on the outer part and then later filling in the inner portion of the lips starting from the centre, using the product directly.

My Experience with Colorbar All Day Rose Gold Lip and Cheek Color Blush Stick:

Packaging: This Colorbar stick comes in the signature Colorbar packaging of a glossy silver box. All the sticks are color coded to the shade inside and this one is a beige-colored one with a silver cap which closes nicely. The shade has been mentioned at the bottom of the tube. The price is a bit too much compared to the quantity provided. Overall, the packaging is perfect and the stick is easy to use as well.

Shade: The shade “Rose Gold” is kind of a silver shade with a shimmery finish rather than rose gold. It does not have that pinkish tinge that rose gold color has. So, I think a name like beige or something should have been better. This shade goes perfectly on my skin and would suit fair to medium skin tones but it will not suit dusky skin-tone since it is too silvery.

Consistency and look on the skin: The consistency is buttery smooth and goes very smoothly on my skin. It blends like a dream on my skin. It does not cling to dry patches and does not break me out as well. A little amount gives me the needed glow. It gives me that celebrity glow which looks really pretty. It looks really good in photos and in artificial light, but in the natural light, it can be mistaken for oily skin as well. Hence I only wear it during functions when there is going to be artificial light.

Staying Power:  The highlighter stays on my skin for around 4 hours and then starts fading off, after losing its shine. I think all-together a good one, but I do not understand why they call it a cheek and lip stick? Would someone really apply this on their lips?

• Gives me nice highlighted effect and enhances the features.
• Goes super smooth on the skin.
• Does not cling to dry patches.
• Gives a nice glow.
• Stays for 4 hours on my face.
• Available all around.

Cons of Colorbar All Day Rose Gold Lip and Cheek Color Blush Stick:

• Not a pure rose gold shade; it is more silvery.
• Will not be apt for summer.
• Cannot be used on the lips.
• It looks like my skin is oily, especially in the day-light (looks good in artificial light).
• Expensive.
• Very less quantity.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Colorbar All Day Rose Gold Lip and Cheek Color Blush Stick?
Nope not at all! Although it is not a bad product, I have used better ones from other brands.

I think a few of Colorbar products are too over-priced. They are good but not that worthy.
