Colorbar I-Glide Pencils Swatches and Photos

UPDATE: Added new pics and swatches in Colorbar Makeup Updates post.

As Palak mentioned in the Colorbar’s I glide Pencils post that the pictures of I-Glide Pencil swatches don’t justify how beautiful the pencils are in real. I can’t agree with her more. These are the better pictures and closest to what the pencils look in real. :)

Here are the pictures and swatches of the two pencils that I bought. Blackout and Prunella.

To give you a teeny weeny update, I swatched these pencils and these are on my hand as if they were always there. I am already getting impressed with their staying power. And these could be smudged within 5-10 seconds of applying.

Palak, does that help? :) Thank you so much for mentioning this.  Will see if I could get the pictures of the other pencils as well. :)

I love these pencils! I got these in Prunella, Cocobar & Jaded!

Their lasting power is very good! & yea, I agree with Palak & u – th colors are really pretty in real. I love the purple to bits & have been alternating between tht and cocobar since i got them! Love Love these babies!

Tanveer,

Palak mentioned about the swatches in the previous post, I think you got a little confused.

These are the new pictures and these are the closest to how the pencils look in real. :) I am already loving these. Colorbar actually rocks! :P

Hi Rati,

Out of curiosity, is the prunella shade purple or more violet (the swatch looks violet). I recently bought a maybelline purple eyeliner (don’t remember name) and later realised that violet would have looked better on me. But haven’t found any brand with a violet shade yet.

Ame the shade is violet only. It’s not very purplish. You may also check the kohl eyeliners in Revlon, I think they also have a shade of purple or violet.

There are two differences that I see between the I Define and I glide pencils:

1. I Glide are creamier. My only and the only issue with I Define pencils was that they are not creamy enough.
2. These could be smudged within 5-10 seconds of application. I Define pencils cannot be smudged.

I think the lasting power of the two is pretty comparable.

Hope that helps. :)

Also, what is the difference between this and Colorbar’s I define eye pencils? (I believe you have truffle.)

PS. Sorry for the double comment. Forgot to ask the question while commenting earlier.

oh ! wow .. nice pics ..
the colors are b’ful :)
Now I wonder if I should have got cocobar and prunella too .. oh my wallet :D
I dunno buh I find it better than I define pencils .. maybe due to creaminess and ease of creating soft smudged looks , watcha fink ??

Thank you Palak. I hope I have done some justice to pics this time. :P This is for the first time i am buying a purplish eyeliner. I have never liked the lightish purplish colors . But this one is gorgeous. Infact, I had paid the bill for the black already and then I couldn’t resist buying Prunella. Got two bills generated. :P

Do you think you would regret buying any of these. :P I agree with your I Define and I Glide comment 100% . :)

beautiful jewel toned violet. i too don’t find milky purple colours flattering on my skin tone.

Hi Piya,

These pencils are gorgeous and I don’t think you should even give a second thought at buying these.

See more colours here: http://makeupandbeauty.com/2010/03/preties-from-colorbar-and-makeup-updates/

I think you would forget using liquid liners after using these. these are creamy, smudgable and long lasting. I am wearing the balck from these since morning today and these are just intact on my eyes. No smudging, no washing out of colour-nothing. I am super impressed.

Buy may be one of these and see if you like them. I highly recommend these. :)

Me too Poornima. It’s one of the best purples I have come across. :)

Oh God.. Oh God.. Its becoming more and more difficult to resist the prunella.. I have never used a purple or blue colour on my eyes.. I have dusky complexion and blue tones make me look even darker.. But you guys are going on and on about the purple. So I am still gonna buy it.. Hope it looks good..

Mrunmayee, you would never know what suits you or not. So go ahead and give those a try. I think we live with a lot of myths. Have fun with makeup and there are no rules to it. :)

Hi Rati, when i check colorbar website , they have 2 products I define & I Glide pencil.. Can you please tel me the difference.

Reply

Rati July 10, 2011 at 11:10 pm

i glide ones are creamier , more pigmented and very intense. These are the better ones. i define ones sometimes tug your eyes. Go for i glide. :)
