I am not a big-time patriot, but it makes me proud how these brave men used to exist; men, who were ready to sacrifice their life for the country just so that the coming generations could live happily and freely. That was all about the patriotism. My pick for today is Coloressence Crystal Look Liquid Lip Color. I have always had a mixed feeling towards this brand. Let’s see which category this gloss falls into: The hits or the misses!

My Experience with Coloressence Crystal Look Liquid Lip Color:

A clear lip gloss always occupies the first place in the league to completely transform the look of the lips or any lip color. I had many matte lip colors in my stash, so thought of getting one clear lip gloss which may transform a matte lip color into a glossy and a dazzling one.

The gloss comes in a cylindrical bottle which is transparent. The packaging is pretty sturdy which makes it travel-friendly and breakage-proof. The packaging is very sober, nothing fancy. The wand is pretty thick which helps in applying the gloss evenly. But, if you swipe it on a bold lip color, the shade might stick to the wand and a wash is required.

The fragrance of the gloss is very sweet and pleasant. It smells like a fruity bubble gum. Now, coming to the consistency, it is extremely thick. I have never seen a lip gloss as thick as this one. You have to dip the wand like 5-6 times to fill your lips with gloss which is so time consuming and irritating. Plus, it feels like I am applying some glue to my lips, so sticky and gooey. It lacks a smooth buttery application. It feels really heavy on the lips.

 

Coming to the effects, yes it gave me very glossy lips. A crystal clear coat was visible on my lips. It totally gives a matter lip color more glamorous and glossy finish. It also keeps the lips moisturized and helps chapped lips looking a little healthy.

The gloss stays on for 2 to 2 and a half hours at the most, and then starts to fade off. With snacks, it stays for 2 hours and not more than that. But, I think for the price it is pretty cool. But, I don’t think that this is where I stop, the number of brands giving such clear glosses are endless, hence, I may keep trying different ones.

Cons of Coloressence Crystal Look Liquid Lip Color:

• Stays only for 2 hours.
• The consistency is very thick and gooey; the wand has to be dipped 4-5 times in the bottle to get a layer on the lips.
• It is very sticky and feels heavy on the lips.
• The consistency is like a glue.
• Lips feel stuck together.
• If it is swiped onto a bold color, it leaves behind a stain on the wand which looks very untidy; it has to be washed every-time.

Would I Recommend/Repurchase Coloressence Crystal Look Liquid Lip Color?

No. We have a lot of options as far as clear glosses are concerned. So, I will give this a skip and try some better ones.

Conclusion:

I think a clear glossy lip gloss is a must in every girl’s kitty. But, it need not be this particular one.
