Coloressence Dual Colour Premium Eye Shades – Purple Review

Hello sweeties,

I was hunting for a purple or lilac eyeliner, and I found one in Coloressence. Although, I was a bit skeptical to pick a liner from this particular brand (because it does have its fair share of hits and misses), I finally made up my mind to get it because it’s not that expensive.  I have to declare that this is the worst eye product that I have tried this year. Read to know why?

Coloressence Dual Colour Premium Eye Shades

Price:
Rs. 225 for 4 gm.

Product Description:
Coloressence, an arm of Nature’s Essence offers the most intricate blend of pigments and ingredients to weave a top of the shelf bridal/exclusive vanity set. It is equipped with all that a bride/modern woman would ever want to keep alongside her at such a special moment where all eyes are placed upon her.

My Experience with Coloressence Dual Colour Premium Eye Shades – Purple:

I have experimented with a lot of colours as far as eyeliners and eyeshadows are concerned. But lilac and lavender shades aren’t available widely, hence this made me all the more charged up to find one. Lilac eyeliner looks very romantic and sweet.  When I finally found one, it was from Coloressence, hard luck! I am not too much impressed with this brand because they put cheap shimmers in their products. Look at the pencil! The eye shade comes in a thick pencil form, which has 2 different colours in purple at the opposite ends.

This eye pencil comes with a sharpener, but it is just so rigid.  When I insert the pencil, it hardly moves and while removing the pencil out again, I end up hurting my skin. Also, because of the fat pencil, a lot of product gets wasted even if I use a different sharpener. If I sharpen it completely, it becomes soft and doesn’t give out much colour. Hence, I have to keep it always blunt in order to use it.

One of the colors is a beautiful lilac shade with a metallic hint but the other one looks very cheap and is fully loaded with shimmer and sparkles. Although, it gives good intensity on the hand, it does not come with full intensity on the eyes. The only thing I liked about the pencil is that it glides very smoothly. I used it on and under my waterline, it does not appear well on the waterline, just a bit of shine. Also, I am very apprehensive about it going into my eyes.

This might be a good option for highlighting the inner corners of the eyes and nothing more. I used it as a shadow, but it looks very cheap. It looked like I was performing for a stupid fancy dress or some stage show where they use cheap makeup like this. I felt nothing less than a clown!

Coloressence Dual Colour Premium Eye Shades

The purple colour settles into the lines on my eyelids and looks awful while the colour starts to fade in the initial hour itself.  The color lasts for 2-3 hours, but the removal part is a bit tedious too. I have to use two cotton swabs to remove the tacky glitter! It’s a total skip for all!

Pretty eye makeup

Pros of Coloressence Dual Colour Premium Eye Shades – Purple:

  • Cheap and available in many shades.
  • Glides smoothly over the eyes and under the eyes too.
  • Good for highlighting the inner corners of the eyes.

Cons of Coloressence Dual Colour Premium Eye Shades – Purple:

  • Does not show up on the waterline.
  • The colours look cheap, especially the glittery one which is loaded with sparkles.
  • Irritates the eyes.
  • I looked like a clown with the cheap and tacky glitter.
  • Removal part is a bit tedious with the shimmer.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Coloressence Dual Colour Premium Eye Shades – Purple?

No not at all! This is a very cheap product! Oh my God! I have used that word for so many times, but that’s because I find it so, I am throwing it away.  Skip these pencils, not worth even a try.

  1. So far I haven’t found any dual colored eyepencil that works well. 🙁 If you are specifically looking out for purple and lilac colors then check out Colorbar counter. They usually have them. 🙂

    1. After trying this i don’t dare to try any more from them… 🙁 yes thanks a lot i will surely have a look at their counter 🙂

    1. Even i had a sober experience with their products but this one turned out to be really bad.. and one more lipstick that i got was extremely frosty 🙁
