Hello pretty IMBBians!

I get the ‘me-time’ by reading the wonderful articles on IMBB. Recently, I got this Coloressence Face and Body Illuminator Lotion because its name intrigued me and I wanted a no-fuss illuminator to give that subtle glow. Read on to know how this fared for me.

My Experience with Coloressence Face and Body Illuminator Lotion:

It comes in a transparent tube with a screw on cap. It is not bulky and thus travel friendly. It comes enclosed in a black cardboard box which has the product details mentioned nicely. I was happy to find an affordable illuminator, and purchased it without any second thoughts. I got the shade “Pink Light,” as the other available shade was “Peach Light,” which I wasn’t sure about.

Coming to the lotion, it is a medium consistency liquid with absolutely no shimmers. I was surprised since I expected some light reflecting shimmer particles to add that glow. However, there was nothing!

It is a tinted moisturizer to say the most. The tall claims of ‘illuminating radiance’ are marketing gimmicks. It has SPF and is great for regular wear. It is non-greasy and hydrating, and gives a dewy look to skin. If you are someone who has good skin and skips BB cream even, this can be just the thing for you. It feels comfortable on skin and gives the right moisture to skin for long hours of wear.

Though it has almost null to sheer coverage, I wear this on a regular basis because it blends into my skin. On humid days, it turns my face somewhat oily. I often use a light dab of compact to give a very flawless natural look. It can illuminate your high points, provided you do a full on makeup and use this just on some specific parts to give the sun-kissed yet dewy look. It is pleasantly scented and doesn’t cause breakouts. If you use tinted moisturizers, try this.
