Coloressence Kajal Pencil Review

Coloressence Kajal Pencil

Hello beautiful ladies,

Today I will be reviewing one of my recent purchases; it is a kajal pencil from coloressence. I personally am not very fond of kajal as I feel that they do not suit me, but I still have 1-2 for the special occasions when eyes (in complete makeup) look incomplete with kajal. 7-8 months back I purchased a kajal from colorbar, but I didn’t like it and so I never used it. I wanted to get an alternative but at a cheap price as it’s not one of my everyday used products. So I purchased this one from coloressence.

My take on Coloressence Kajal Pencil:

As far as I know kajal are mainly used for the water line, some people do use it as a liner too, but now days there are many options available for liners so I use it only for the water lines, both lower and upper water line. Considering this in mind I did not like the product at all. there are many different types of kajal available in the market and some of them do stay for a good amount of time, but as the company does not claim about the staying power, I did not expect much from this. But I still expected it to stay for 2-3 hours, after using this I discovered that this was too much of an expectation. It feels really nice when applied; the pencil is soft, does not irritate the eyes and gives a dark black color in the very first stroke, but the major drawback of the product is that it starts smudging just after 20-25 minutes. After applying it, I saw my face after around 35 minutes and it appeared that I have dark circles, all my kajal had smudged which created a black patch under my eyes.

The kajal comes in a retractable pencil which is a plus point for this as there is no need to sharpen the pencil. The pencil is decently soft to apply it’s neither too soft nor hard.

Pros of Coloressence Kajal Pencil:

• Affordable
• Retractable
• Nice black color
• Ayurvedic formula and hence no chemicals (this is what the company claims)
• Soft and easy to apply

Cons of Coloressence Kajal Pencil:

• Bad staying power
• Smudges just after few minutes

Would I buy Coloressence Kajal Pencil again?

No! I will never even think of buying it again.

Do I recommend Coloressence Kajal Pencil?

Although it is affordable, but it does not work at all on the water line, it’s a little better if applied on the lids. I personally will not recommend this.

IMBB Rating:

2/5 only because of the black color it gives in the first stroke and ayurvedic formula .

    1. its made of some ayurvedic ingredients may be thats why it does not irritate the eyes……but no use of this point as it does not stay on the eyes for long *headbang*

  1. Hmmm… *specs*
But as its easy and smooth to apply and you said it doesnt irritate the eyes when applied on waterline too. Next time may try using a bit of eyeshadow below the kajal line ( very fine line) just to prevent the kajal from leading you to dark circles *headbang* . If it works its good other *spank* *spank* the kajal.

  2. Smudging is the worst thing anyone may want *headbang* *headbang* *thankyou* *thankyou* sooo much for warning us *clap* *clap*
