Coloressence Liquid Lip Color in Seren Review

Hello Wonderful People,

I said I will soon be back with the other shade of “Coloressence Liquid Lip Color,” so here I am.  Today’s shade is “Seren” and it’s such a nice shade. Nowadays, I am splurging more into glosses. I bought “Colorbar,” “Revlon” and “Jordana” glosses, yup “Coloressence Liquid Lip Color” is also included. I didn’t share my recent haul picture and that’s because I purchase almost everything online, but today I did.  I bought some more products, but they aren’t delivered to me yet. Some products have been reviewed earlier. Okay, read on further to know more about the product.

Price:

Packaging:

The gloss comes in a fat, transparent gloss tube. It has a sponge doe-foot applicator, which picks right amount of gloss to complete both the lips with just 2 dips in the tube. The packaging is simple, but looks very decent for the price.

My Take on Coloressence Liquid Lip Color in Seren:

Shade: “Seren” is a peachy pink color with concentrated dark pink and silver shimmers in it. The color appears dirty in the tube, but on lips it comes out as a soft peachy pink color. The shimmers are not much visible lips, but if you’re a person who doesn’t prefer shimmery glosses, you can skip this particular shade. The color is very soft and subtle and is apt to wear every day; this kind of pink will suit every skin tone.

Texture and Finish:  The formula of the gloss is gel based. The texture is very smooth and creamy. The gloss applies very smoothly on lips, no tugging. The consistency is just perfect as a gloss, not very sticky and neither very thin. It gives a little waxy feeling on lips, which is associated with hydration it provides to lips throughout. I noticed that this gloss is very suitable for dry lips, as after wearing it, my lips were feeling so soft and smooth, definitely in better condition than before and I didn’t feel the need to exfoliate my lips before applying it. The gloss doesn’t bleed at all, but if it’s layered in 2-3 layers, there are chances that the gloss would bleed; being a gloss, it does transfer to surfaces.  The gloss gives very glossy sheen on the lips. There is no sort of discomfort like irritating or burning sensation on lips, it gives the effect of fuller, plump lips naturally, as it claims.

Pigmentation:  I found the shade “Seren” really pigmented, than the other shades of this range, which I have used till now. Though it doesn’t goes opaque like a lip color but it covers my slightly pigmented lips very well on the first coat only; it can be build up for more color. The gloss can also be used to intensify the color of matte pink lipsticks. The title “liquid lip color” for a gloss is totally misleading, they are pure glosses.

Staying Power:  These glosses don’t have great power. Though I am satisfied with the average staying power of them, for the extremely pocket-friendly price. This shade stayed on me for 2.5 hours, without having heavy meals; you can munch light snacks and drink water with it. The freshly applied color fades away or can say tones down after 1.5 hours only.  After that, the mild tint of color stays for an hour more.

Pros of Coloressence Liquid Lip Color in Seren:

• A very beautiful and subtle peachy pink shade, with tiny multi-colored shimmers in it.
• This kind of pink will suit every skin tone and it’ll nicely compliment medium skin tones, the shimmers won’t look loud.
• The formula of this gloss is gel based; it goes effortlessly on lips, without tugging.
• The texture is very smooth and creamy.
• The finish is really very glossy, it gives the illusion of fuller, plump lips, without creating any discomfort.
• Packaging looks nice, especially for the pocket-friendly price.
• Applicator picks right amount of gloss, to complete each lips in one dip on the tube.
• “Seren” is really a pigmented color; it covers my slightly pigmented lips in a single coat, though for severely pigmented lips would need two coats.
• The gloss is really very hydrating, an apt gloss for dry lip beauties.
• Considering it’s a gloss, the staying power is satisfactory for 2.5 hours, with mild color fading in the last hours.
• The shimmer in the gloss doesn’t travel around the mouth.
• Coloressence products are easily available.

Cons of Coloressence Liquid Lip Color in Seren:

• If you don’t prefer shimmery glosses, this one is not for you.
• Some of you may not like the waxy texture to it.
• The shimmers tends to stick behind, after the gloss goes away.  You will away, you will need to remove it with a cleanser.
• I don’t know why? Coloressence never mentions the complete ingredients list.

Would I Recommend Coloressence Liquid Lip Color in Seren?

If you are searching for a pretty peachy pink lip color and also if you liked the color in the swatches, I would say try this once. If you’re a fresher in the world of makeup and someone who goes to the office and college, this shade and the pocket-friendly gloss is for you. Everyone can go for this subtle, every day shade.  I already have bought four shades in these, I don’t think I need more, but yes, if they launched some new shades, I’ll definitely be the first one to try them.
