This is my first product from Coloressence. Almost all the lipsticks in this collection have been reviewed on IMBB, barring three. So, when I found them on sale at an online shopping portal, I decided to buy all three without any further thought. I would be reviewing one of them for you today. All the other lipsticks in this collection have got quite good reviews from our IMBB writers. So, does this one meet my expectations? Was it worth the money? Read on to find out.

My Experience With Coloressence Mesmerising Brown Passion Lip Color 57:

Coming to the packaging, this one comes in a black and silver case with the brand name written on the lid, in silver. The case comes along with an outer cardboard covering which has the ingredients list and product description. The lid shuts tightly with a click. The shade number and name is written at the bottom. Overall, the packaging is simple and sturdy. Coming to the fragrance, this lipstick has a mild floral scent, which is not too overpowering. In fact, it does not linger for long and disappears after a few minutes.

Coming to the texture, this lipstick has a semi-matte finish. Hence, it is neither too moisturising nor too dry. Matte lovers will like this one. The shade name is actually misleading. The name of this shade should actually have been maroon passion instead of brown passion. Yes, one look at the bullet is enough to tell you that this is a maroon lipstick and not a brown one. In fact, the shade is very similar to Lotus Herbals Purestay Lipstick 427 Coffee Berry.

However, since this one is not completely matte and is semi-matte, it does not dry out your lips completely. This lipstick does exaggerate fine lines, so be sure to moisturize and exfoliate your lips well before using this lipstick. I am not a great fan of this shade, since I am still getting used to bold shades. But, again I find it subtler than the Lotus Herbals lipstick. People who love wearing different shades of maroon will like this one.

Talking about the staying power, this one stays on the lips for about five hours without meals or with a light snack in between. This one will not survive heavy meals, however it does not wear off completely and leaves a stain behind. Hence, a light touch-up should be enough after a heavy meal. This lipstick can be easily removed with the help of a makeup remover.

Maybe, I already own the Lotus Herbals one and that should last me long enough. I would like to try other lipsticks from Coloressence. If you are a maroon lip color lover, you should definitely try this one. You won’t be disappointed.
