Coloressence Premia Lip Color – Spring Wine Review

Hello everyone,

I got a few lipsticks recently and this one belongs to those few” ones 😛 I am obsessed with lipsticks lately and my mother believes that there is not sufficient place left to store them 😀 I think I need to buy a bigger shelf to house all of them! So coming to today’s product, it is a lipstick from the “Premia” collection.  Let’s see how it fared.

My Take on Coloressence Premia Lip Color – Spring Wine:

Packaging:  This lipstick sells itself just because of the attractive packaging. It comes in a silver tube, that looks shiny and classy. The looks of it are all oh-la-la, but it feels flimsy. It is just a better version of the plastic tube. The bullet of the lipstick can be twisted up and down with ease. The shade name is not given at the bottom of the tube but is given on the carton. It could have been color coded to facilitate identification.

Shade:  Spring Wine is a deep maroon-wine shade that will suit most Indian skin tones. This shade has very chunky shimmers in it and the shimmer shows up on the lips. It is a mature shade and will not suit young folks.

Texture: The texture is not at all smooth. I expected a lot better from the “Premia” range compared to the “Mesmerizing” ones, but these turned out to be one and the same. It tugs and pulls badly. The shimmers make it worse! It feels rubbery without a lip balm underneath and tends to settle into fine lines.

Pigmentation: It is badly pigmented. Such dark shades need to be pigmented nicely, but this is sheer. It goes opaque with more than 2-3 swipes and the color is buildable. It covers lip pigmentation in about 2 swipes, but the thing is that it makes the corner of my lips appear dark and pigmented.

Staying Power:  This lipstick transfers to cups and cutlery, but not at a high rate. This lasts for about 2.5 hours on lips after which it starts to fade from the corners, and the shimmers are left behind looking ghastly. It needs to be touched up to cover up the shimmers.

Would I Recommend/Repurchase Coloressence Premia Lip Color – Spring Wine?

Nope! This has an affordable price tag, but there are so many good shades to look out for under this range. This can be skipped without a thought!
