Coloressence is a brand which is making its presence felt across the country by offering good quality cosmetic products at budget-friendly prices. Today’s review will be about a recent purchase of mine from the brand. Let’s talk in detail about Coloressence Rose Petal Lip Liner.

Product Description: A color intense formula that glides on evenly for perfectly defined lips. It is rich smooth creamy & easy to apply. It makes lips appear supple, contoured and well defined. It is perfect for lining the lips for filling them in. It sets fast and blends easily with different shades of lipsticks.
Packaging: I am quite happy with the minimalistic yet classy design of the lip pencil. It comes in a sleek black retractable pencil form with the brand name written on it. It is packaged in a cardboard pack with a transparent cover, and it had all the product details mentioned. The pencil has a lid which shuts tightly and is very easy to carry about even in your pocket.
My Experience with Coloressence Rose Petal Lip Liner:
Truth be told, I had added this to my cart only to eliminate the shipping charges. Surprisingly, it has become a product for which I reach out often nowadays. Let’s start with the color. It is a burnt pinkish-brown shade. The Mulberry Work shade from Lakme 9-5 range is very close to this shade. The best thing is the wearability of the color. If you like using lipsticks on a daily basis or you are a working woman, this shade will be quite apt for you. And people of different age groups can wear this. The color would suit fair to olive skin tones well, but may not show up well on dusky beauties.
The texture is not very creamy and feels a tad difficult to work with. This is especially true if you are filling in your lips with this color and not wearing any lip balm. However, that said, the retractable liner doesn’t break off easily as is the case with many creamy lip liners. Once you wear, it sets well and prevents your lipstick from bleeding or feathering for around 5-6 hours. Also, it is quite transfer-resistant and doesn’t come off with slight munching. It provides a good base for lipsticks and increases their longevity and intensity. It doesn’t feel uncomfortable or heavy on lips, but it may accentuate fine lines. I would recommend prepping your lips before this.
If you wear it with a lip balm, it imparts a pinkish tone. In one of the attached photos, I wore it with a non-tinted lip balm and found it looking exactly like a rose petal shade. In fact, that is my preferred way of wearing it since my lips remain hydrated and the color is very pretty. In the other picture, I am wearing it without any lipstick or balm and it shows its true color. Also see that the lip color fades evenly after a wear time of about 4 hours.
