Within one year California, USA based ColourPop Cosmetics has become a huge international company owing to its fabulous range of products. It started with 15 eye shadows of different finishes and now has a range of eye shadows, lippie stix, lip liners, blush, bronzer and highlighter. Trust me, the most peculiar thing about their products is their texture and pigmentation that makes them stand out of the league from drugstore product although its price range is same as drugstore ones. Here I am reviewing their Super Shock Pressed Pigment in Slave2Pink.

My Experience with ColourPop Cosmetics Slave2Pink Super Shock Pressed Pigment:
Packaging:
The pressed pigment comes in a white circular casing with a transparent window on the lid. The transparent window unlike other eye shadows does not get detached while travelling. The lid is a screw cap. The product is embedded deep in the bottom part. All this is done so that the product does not lose moisture and texture. You can see the pigment has lost considerable amount of moisture and has shrunken from its pan.
The bottom part contains manufacturing details, shade name, product weight etc., and other details. The product in the pan has grooves all over the product. There is no mirror or applicator provided. My suggestion is using fingers or synthetic flat brush for padding the color. The product is 2.1 gm by weight.
Texture:
Slave 2 Pink – as mentioned in the product packaging, is pressed pigment. The appearance was more or less the same, but this particular shade has tiny shimmer particles. It is buildable and blendable both. It transfers evenly on being swatched on finger and wrist both. You can see little specks of shimmer separated from the actual color. There is no fall out though. Since this particular shade dried in the pan, it looks messy. But as long as their moisture content is locked the texture gets A+ from me.
Pigmentation:
The pigmentation is out of this world for this shade. Slave 2 pink, is a fuchsia pink with blue shimmer particles. Looks like a dual chromatic shade. It is advised on packaging not to use it around the eye area. I guess you can use it with any lip liner on lips or mix with any other color to give it oomph!! This is a bright color and can be used in many ways. This shade stains heavily hence one needs to be fast to blend or else it will set.
Staying Power:
Staying power of this eye color is outstanding. 8-9 hours without primer!! It does not fade easily. It stains so much that, at times, I am not able to remove the blended color with soap and water while taking a swatch. I have not given it a try more than 9 hours, but let me tell you at the 9th hour also it was pretty much shining brightly. I used it as an eye color and lip color too but on lip balm. Staying power in that case 4-5 hours although I was consuming a lot of oily products.
