ColourPop is extending their makeup range magnanimously. They bring out new products every week!!! Recently, ColourPop launched their ultra-glossy lip. Today, I will be reviewing the shade “Tokyo Tea.” So, let’s see how this lipstick fared.

Product Description:
You’ll be on your a** but you’ll look fabulous in this bright coral red in a creme finish. Our Ultra Glossy Lip provides extreme shine with a cushion-like comfortable feel. Absolutely NO stickiness or tackiness! This lip gloss smoothes and conditions the lips with emollient ingredients leaving your lips looking fuller, healthier, and super kissable.

How To Use:
The doe-foot applicator will give you easy and precise application. Apply lip gloss by itself, or with a lip pencil and/or lipstick. We’ve listed some pencil recommendations, but feel free to mix and match to create different looks!

My Experience with ColourPop Tokyo Tea Ultra Glossy Lip:

ColourPop launched their ultra-glossy lips in four finishes:

Sheer- Transparent gloss with a hint of colour that doesn’t contain any glitter.
Sheer Metallic- Transparent gloss with multi-dimensional glitter.
Crème- Medium coverage gloss with a creamy finish that does not contain any glitter or pearl.
Ultra-Metallic- Full coverage gloss with a smooth pearl metal finish that doesn’t contain any glitter.

Packaging:  The packaging is a pretty standard clear tube with holographic writing on the side – ColourPop Ultra Glossy. The bottom of the tube specifies the name “Tokyo Tea.” The tube has a silver cap. The applicator is a standard doe-foot wand. The product comes in a white cardboard box with the name of the product and the ingredients list.

Texture and Application: The texture of the ultra-glossy lipstick is highly glossy without the tackiness. The feel is like a glossy lip balm. These lip glosses from Colourpop are not sticky. They are super hydrating. The doe-foot applicator provides an easy application. It’s the most comfortable liquid lipstick.

Pigmentation and Coverage:  Tokyo Tea lip gloss is in crème finish, so it is medium pigmented and hence provides medium coverage. However, a second application of the gloss gives a fuller coverage. If you have pigmented lips, then you can use lip liner underneath the lip gloss. The lip glosses have a faint vanilla scent which I really like. Do exfoliate your lips to avoid showing the chapped texture.

Shade and Finish: The shade is described as a ‘bright coral red’ and it is a beautiful coral pink shade with warm undertone. This shade is suitable for fair to medium Indian skin tones. It is a bit difficult for darker skin tones to pull off this colour. The finish of the lipstick is ultra-glossy. The lip gloss gives an illusion of a plumper and fuller lips. It is extremely comfortable to wear.

Staying Power: The staying power is really good by the standards of a lip gloss. It stays on for around 4 hours without the need to reapply. However, it will start to fade if you eat or drink. However, this doesn’t bother me since I can reapply the gloss easily.

Overall, I am really happy with the colour pay off, the texture and the longevity of the lip gloss. The lip gloss can be easily removed with a tissue.
