Today I am going to review a lip colour duo from the Covergirl Outlast All Day Lip Colour range in the shade 750 Luminous Lilac. Let’s get started.

My Experience with Covergirl 750 Luminous Lilac Outlast All Day Lip Colour:

Breaking the ice, I would say that the Covergirl Outlast All-Day Lip Colour is a great product if you are looking for a long-lasting liquid lipstick that lasts on the lips all day. It has insane coverage, super colour payoff, huge colour selection, amazing staying power and travel-friendly packaging! What else does one need from a liquid lipstick! Since this product comes with a matte lip colour and the top coat, it can either be worn matte or glossy, as you like! The lip colour duo comes in box packaging with two product in it – the liquid lipstick and the top coat.

All-Day Colour Coat: The liquid lipstick, which is the All-Day Colour Coat, looks and feels exactly like a lip gloss during application. But, after application, it dries to a complete matte colour but with a frost finish! Covergirl suggests that for a smooth and even application, the lips should not be pressed/rubbed together until at least 1 minute and let the lip colour dry down and set completely. Once dried, the colour is completely smudge-proof, budge-proof, water-proof, and other proofs that you can think of! I swatched it on the back of my hands in the store and after it dried I tried to rub it off, but after struggling for a while, the veins on the back of my hand started to hurt and so I stopped my efforts in rubbing away the lip colour. And the colour was just as I had applied it! I was flabbergasted!!

Moisturising Topcoat: The second step of this lip kit is the moisturising top coat. Although the topcoat is an optional step I believe it is essential if you want to hydrate your lips and add a glossy shine. This top coat comes in a lipstick bullet but is clear like a non-tinted lip balm. It adds a fair amount of moisture and glossy-ness to the lips without depositing oodles of shimmers. If used on its own on bare lips, it will give exactly the same feel and finish as a clear lip balm/gloss.

The colour that I am reviewing today is called Luminous Lilac. I am not a huge fan of this colour. This is a mid toned lilac-y pink colour with shimmers and frost finish. Since the packaging of the lip colour is clear, the shade of this lippie is visible through the tube. I prefer wearing this colour with the topcoat as it provides a beautiful shine and gives a more youthful look to the lips.

All in all, I would say, if you are looking for a super long-lasting and non-transferable lip color that does not need any touch ups until you want to take it off, this lipstick range from Covergirl is for you.

I would highly recommend this line to all as there are innumerable shades in this line with different finishes. You can pick and choose the ones that you like. Do try one at least, because these babies are super amazing. This sure is one of my favourite liquid lippies out there!
