I have been on a makeup shopping spree lately, especially Covergirl makeup. Thanks to the unavailability of this brand in India, every time I pass by the Covergirl aisle, I get tempted to get a few products to try out. After the Covergirl Eyeshadow palettes, I would like to share my experiences about the Covergirl Katy Kat Matte Lipstick in “Cat Call.” That’s such a cool name, by the way!

My Experience with Covergirl Cat Call Katy Perry Kat Matte Lipstick:
Packaging: Can we take a minute here and admire the cute packaging of this lipstick! These lipsticks by Katy Perry are all designed around the “Cat theme” and hence the shade names and the packaging revolves around that too. This lipstick has a square matte white body with Katy’s name on it in bold. The bottom of the tube is colour coded to the lipstick bullet.
The lipstick bullet swirls up effortlessly and does not stick to the tube itself. The shade name is mentioned at the bottom of the lipstick which has cat ears on it, how adorable! The best thing is that the lipstick cap shuts with a secure click sound. All in all, a very sturdy and super attractive packaging.
Color: The color of this lipstick is such a pretty bright fuchsia shade with warm undertones. It’s just that perfect fuchsia pink shade that’s so appropriate for spring and summer. This lipstick shade is really subjective, but I would still say that this particular shade is for bright lipstick lovers. Also, this shade will suit most skin tones.
Texture: This lipstick has a very smooth and creamy texture and applies like butter on the lips, which is splendid. The texture is not as dry and patchy at all. In fact, it feels comparatively quite comfortable on the lips, but I would suggest beauties with extremely dry and chapped lips (like me) to apply a lip balm prior to this lipstick so that there’s no tugging or pulling. This lipstick does not contain any shimmer.
Pigmentation: The pigmentation of this baby is bang on!! Although one swipe of this lipstick does not give a considerable amount of coverage, but the best thing about this lipstick is that it is buildable without getting patchy or feeling heavy. You can apply it with a light hand for that beautiful flush or go for a full-on coverage if you please. Since it is a creamy formulation, it does transfer a bit, but that’s totally okay. Also, ladies with pigmented lips can rejoice as this lipstick covers pigmented lips really well.
Longevity: I was a firm believer that only matte lipsticks are long lasting, but this baby has changed my perception totally. In spite of its very creamy-glossy finish, it lasts on the lips for at least 5 to 6 hours with a little bit of snacks and beverages. It also leaves a tint behind which I really enjoy. So impressive!!

Would I Recommend/Repurchase Covergirl Cat Call Katy Perry Kat Matte Lipstick?
I totally recommend this line of lipstick by Covergirl to everyone. If you haven’t tried this super new lipsticks yet, you can do it now. I am not sure if everyone is going to like this shade, but it’s no harm trying it out. You can pick up this affordable lipstick this summer.
