So my winter is all bright with these super cute lip balms from Covergirl. I got a bunch of these recently, and have already reviewed the shades called Soda, Sprinkle, and Punch. Now is the time for “Cupcake”; this is probably the lightest shade that I picked up. So without any further blah-blah, let’s head to the review.

How to Apply:

My Experience with Covergirl Colorlicious Oh Sugar! Vitamin Infused Lip Balm – Cupcake:
Packaging:
The lip balm looks super cute in a glossy baby pink square shaped packaging with the name written over it. The name “Oh Sugar” itself is very cute too. The lip balm packaging is colour coded and mentions the name at the base. The packaging looks more like a lipstick and not a lip balm, which is great. It has a twist mechanism which functions nicely.
The cap also closes with a click hence no worries of the bullet getting ripped. The lip balm is very handy and fits in the pocket too. But at times the bullet of these lip balms break if too much pressure is applied. But the price is pretty high for a lip balm. I think we can get such lip balms at a much lower cost as well.
Texture, shade and feel on the lips:
The lip balm feels very balmy and buttery on the lips. It glides super smoothly on my lips like any other lip balm. The texture is very soft, and during my initial use, I opened up more bullet and it scrapped off from the base. So yes, open it with care.
The shade “Cupcake” is a very light baby pink shade which doesn’t really show up on the lips. It just gives a light tint and glossiness to the lips. It would show up in a much better way on the very fair skin tones rather than our Indian ones. While I like it for daily use, I would surely prefer the tinted ones. I feel this shade is super light. In fact, I could say a sheer one and hence it’s not suitable for pigmented lips. So I liked this one a little less.
Staying power:
The lip balm stays for an average time period of 1-2 hours on my lips and it doesn’t last as long as other shades. If I eat or drink, then the lip balm totally vanishes. It is a nice lip balm which I love using regularly but the tinted shades are a lot better.

• No visible tint
• Will not suit pigmented lips
• Does not stay for more than 1-2 hours
• Expensive for a lip balm
• Cheaper alternatives of the same shade available
• They test on animals

Will I Repurchase/Recommend Covergirl Colorlicious Oh Sugar! Vitamin Infused Lip Balm – Cupcake?
No. Neither would I get this nor would I recommend because it is a super light shade and pretty expensive according to the product offering. So go for the tinted lip balms from this range instead.
Conclusion:
They have a similar range of lipsticks. They will be much more pigmented, so I will try those!
