Hope you are doing great! Today I am reviewing an eyeshadow from the Covergirl Eye Enhancers 1-Kit Shadow range. The shade is Brown Smolder – 740.

Simple, single eye shadow shades with a silky sheer formula. Mix and match them the way you want to create your own combos with matte, pearly, or sparkly shades! They blend easily for a natural eye makeup look.

How to Use
 For best shadow effects, rely on the pro’s tools. Use a Sponge Applicator tip for precision and targeting creases and lash line. Use a CoverGirl Eyeshadow Brush for a soft wash of color all over lid.
 For Day: Smooth a medium Eye Enhancers 1-Kit Shadow in your eye lid from lash line up to eye crease. Blend deeper shade into crease and slightly above it.
 For Evening: Line eyes close to lash line with a Perfect Blend Pencil in a dark, dramatic shade. Sweep a light Eye Enhancers 1-Kit Shadow from base of lashes to brow bone. Apply a deeper shade in eye creases and blend.
 To prevent eye shadow from creasing, pat concealer or foundation on the lids, dust with translucent powder, then brush on a powder formula, like our Eye Enhancers 1-Kit Shadows.
 Dark eyes look good in grays, blues, purples and greens. Light eyes look good in brown, taupe and bronze shades

My experience with Covergirl Eye Enhancers 1-Kit Shadow – Brown Smolder:

Packaging:
The eyeshadow comes in a small plastic case with a transparent lid which closes securely. It is travel friendly and the transparent lid makes it easier to spot the color. There is no mirror but you do get a double ended sponge tip applicator.

Color and Finish:
Brown Smolder is a medium brown eye shadow with a matte finish. While it may appear to contain some shimmer when seen in the pan, the shimmer does not translate to the lids. You get a matte brown shade when applied on the lids.

Pigmentation:
Pigmentation of the Covergirl eye shadows can be a hit or miss! Luckily, Brown Smolder is one of the nicely pigmented shades. It provides sufficient color in just one swipe.

Texture:
This texture of Brown Smolder is quite smooth. It does not feel gritty or chalky. I do not have any problem with fall out. It is easy to blend.

Longevity:
The color lasts on my oily lids for over 6 hours before I notice any fading, without a primer. With a primer, it lasts throughout the day. As an eyebrow filler, it lasts for the entire day. I am quite happy with that!

I love using this color in the crease. Sometimes, some eye shadow palettes do not have a good matte brown shade. Brown Smolder is a good substitute for that. It also serves well as a soft smudged liner under the lower lash line. It can also be used to fill in your brows. It is quite a versatile eye shadow.
