The shade that I am reviewing today from the Covergirl Outlast Longwear lipstick range is called “Plum Fury.” I have already reviewed the shades “Pink Shock,” “Magnetic Mauve”,“Into the Fuchsia”, “Red Revenge” and “Fireball” from this range. Read on to find out more about this lipstick.

My Experience with Covergirl Plum Fury Outlast Longwear + Moisture Lipstick:
Packaging: This lipstick comes in a reflective metallic packaging with a transparent cap. The name of the lipstick appears on a sticker on the side of the cap. Overall, the packaging is pretty simple and looks a bit flimsy for the $9 that you pay for it.
Another thing which I don’t like about the lipstick is that it does not swivel all the way down inside the tube and there is always the danger of nicking some part of the lipstick while trying to put the cap on.
Shade/Pigmentation: Plum Fury is a berry-plum shade. With a name like that, I was expecting this lipstick to be a deep dark plum. However, it does not come across as that deep on the lips because of two reasons – one, this has a metallic sheen to it which reduces the intensity of the shade. And secondly, the pigmentation itself is not too strong. You need a minimum of two swipes to get an opaque finish. It is a very beautiful shade but somehow the finish does not make it pop.
Texture/Finish: The texture of this lipstick feels like a hybrid between crème and gel. It applies smoothly on the lips and there is no tug at all. The formula feels quite soft and comfortable on the lips. The lipstick has a frosty metallic finish. I personally do not like this kind of finish and feel it should have been forgotten in the nineties. It somehow makes me look older than I am.
The lipstick also accentuates my lip lines and I would recommend exfoliating the lips prior to application to avoid highlighting any dry patches. The lipstick does not feel drying on the lips but it does not feel overly moisturizing either.
Lasting Power: The lasting power of this shade is average and it lasts for around 4-5 hours with some snacking / light meals. It does transfer but not too much.
Pros of Covergirl Plum Fury Outlast Longwear + Moisture Lipstick:
- Beautiful plum-berry shade.
- Does not feel drying on the lips.
- Average lasting power.
Cons of Covergirl Plum Fury Outlast Longwear + Moisture Lipstick:
- Frosty finish might not appeal to all.
- This shade accentuates lip lines.
- Lipstick does not swivel down completely.
- Slightly flimsy packaging.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Covergirl Plum Fury Outlast Longwear + Moisture Lipstick?
I would not recommend this particular shade from the range unless you are specifically looking for this kind of shade or finish. I will not repurchase the exact same shade but I already have other shades from this range.
