On my recent trip to the makeup store, I picked up a CoverGirl Wetslicks Fruit Spritzers in the color Guava Splash. CoverGirl has reintroduced their old line of products with totally new style of packaging. This lip gloss has also been revamped. It is not much different than the one they had before. just the packaging is different, but with the same name and product inside.

Directions For Use:

Lightly pucker your lips and apply gloss generously, working from the inside out. Be sure not to apply outside your lip line. Place a folded tissue between pressed lips to remove excess and prevent sticking.

My Experience with CoverGirl Wetslicks Fruit Spritzers – Guava Splash:

The first thing I thought after applying this product was – YUM! I love the scent of this product. Do not be fooled by its’ name though – Guava Splash. It smells nothing like guavas but actually it smells like watermelons. That doesn’t bother me though because I love fruity scents and this definitely has a sweet fruity scent. It even tastes sweet. The packaging itself is cute too. It’s a light pink tube with images of guavas in the front and a twist on cap. You have to squeeze to get the product out, like common lip glosses, but I have to be careful when squeezing because a lot of unneeded product can dispense and create a mess.

The product comes out pink but when spread evenly on the lips, it gives a perfect sheer glossy look. It pretty much is like a sheer gloss but I can build the color for a light hint of pink, but I prefer to wear over lipstick or just as a clear gloss. It has tiny specks of sparkle in it which doesn’t look too much. The consistency of the product is very smooth and it just glides on the lips easily.  Usually lip glosses are sticky and my hair gets caught on my lips, but this product never feels sticky nor greasy. It’s a light weight formula which you will hardly feel. It doesn’t leave my lips feeling dry either when the product wears off. The staying power is average but then again lip glosses usually don’t last me very long regardless of what brand it is. So, I don’t mind reapplying. It’s small so it fits anywhere, so I can reapply it whenever I want to. Overall, this is a great gloss for any girl who wants a simple inexpensive lip product.
