Hello Beautiful People,

Continuing my love affair with Crabtree and Evelyn products, today I will review a very sensuous and exotic smelling lotion from the Himalayan Blue range.

My Take on Crabtree and Evelyn Himalayan Blue Body Lotion:

The lotion comes in a sturdy see-though plastic bottle, with a pump nozzle on the top, which helps in easy dispensing. The bottle is travel friendly as it comes with a lock pin to keep the lotion from leaking or spilling. The fragrance of Himalayan Blue body lotion is an amazing, sweet, woody and spicy blend. It’s a heady blend of ginger, spices, exotic woods and also has a leathery accord. I would describe it as an exotic evening wear kind of scent.

The lotion has almond, coconut and rice bran oil that nourishes the skin.  The lotion is of ivory color. It is slightly thick, but spreads easily on the skin, absolutely non-greasy and is easily absorbed by the skin. This lotion contains shea butter which leaves the skin smooth and soft. The lotion has good moisturizing power, but has to be reapplied every 2-3 hours in winters. I don’t use it as my every day moisturizer, but layer it over my regular every day lotion, according to the mood of the fragrance I am in. The fragrance lingers for 3-4 hours when applied generously.

A major drawback is that the lotion has no SPF, so I have to layer it with good sunscreen lotions during daytime. Since the fragrance itself is very heady and ideal for evening, I prefer using it for evening time.

Again, the best part about Himalayan Blue body lotion is that it is free of parabens, phthalates and propylene glycol, and since I have recently jumped on to the “say no to parabens” bandwagon, I am loving this easily available option.

Crabtree and Evelyn has now opened up a number of stores in all major cities in India and hence the products are now easily available. There are some very good gift packs and deals on Crabtree and Evenlyn products in USA, so if you have a friend or a cousin visiting, get a few bottles flown in.

Pros of Crabtree and Evelyn Himalayan Blue Body Lotion:

  • Amazing fragrance.
  • Good moisturizing power.
  • Non-greasy texture.
  • Gets easily absorbed by the skin.
  • Fragrance lingers for 3-4 hours.
  • No parabens.

Cons of Crabtree and Evelyn Himalayan Blue Body Lotion:

  • No SPF.
  • Expensive.

Do I Recommend Crabtree and Evelyn Himalayan Blue Body Lotion?

Again, this lotion is mostly for people who love exotic-smelling bath and body products and don’t mind spending a little extra for it. There are a lot more products to be tried, so I wouldn’t buy it again immediately.
