Creed Royal Oud Eau de Parfum Review

Creed Royal Oud has been in the market since 2011. At the time of its initial launch, it got mixed reviews. There were people who objected the presence of oud but I have been a lover of oud fragrances for years now and I can definitely smell oud. Creed fragrances are expensive but definitely investment-worthy. Since I have enjoyed this fragrance, I don’t regret spending heaps of money on it. ?

Product Description:
Creed has created their oud fragrance as a response to the many requests they received from clients, but they have adapted the scent to the style of their house. Wood, leather, marble and gold—the elements of a royal Persian palace—inspired this luxurious mix of the Persian and Parisian.
Royal Oud is a stylish and warm fougere fragrance with a beautiful kaleidoscope of woody, aromatic green and spicy nuances. The note of oud is an integral part of the composition, playing its role in balanced equilibrium with other notes.
Top notes include lemon, pink berry and bergamot. The middle notes consist of cedar, galbanum and angelic root. Base notes are Regal Indian oud, sandalwood and Tonkin musk. Royal Oud was launched in 2011. The nose behind this fragrance is Olivier Creed Sixth Generation.

My Experience with Creed Royal Oud Eau de Parfum:

Creed fragrances have a very classic and simple packaging. Creed Royal Oud comes housed in a glass bottle with Creed emblem embossed on the bottle with a sticker; this stick offers the fragrance-related details. The cap is a black one with Creed logo on it. Also, the atomizer is a perfect one.

Creed Royal Oud is not a typical oud scent. It has more subtle notes of oud. Oud is not a top note in this fragrance but it’s the base note of this fragrance. This means you can definitely smell oud once it dries down, but it won’t be a too much in your face type of scent. They have used regal Indian oud which is one of the best in the market. Creed states that this as a unisex fragrance which is totally justified. It can be worn by both men and women.

On my first sniff, I can smell woody, smoky, a little spicy, citrusy and a little bit of fresh notes. Once it dries down, you can still smell the woody notes with a hint of oud. This is more of a fall and winter fragrance, in my opinion. When it comes to performance, Creed Royal Oud has lasted 15 hours on my skin. Overall, it smells delicious and beautiful. It’s more of a mature fragrance, so you should definitely try this if you love oud fragrances.
