Hope you had a great start. I had an early morning start that I told you about and I couldn’t watch the sunrise as it was too cloudy and since I started in the wee hours of the morning, it left me sicker! L:(
I took hell lot of a rest today; slept for more than four hours in the day and now feeling a bit better. Viral fever drains a person out, really!
A small good news is that since I am sick mostly, I try to rejuvenate my spirits by doing a bit of DIYs and I have couple of DIYs lined up that I am sure you guys would love. So, give me a few days’ time and I would tell you some awesome ways to make your own products. For today, I have a review of a quad that I bought couple of weeks ago. No, I did not buy it from Mumbai
Yeah! I feel so confident to announce that as promised to myself, I did not buy anything from Mumbai. Just got a bit of clothes and household stuff but no make up! Though each time I spotted a MAC or Channel showroom, I was tempted to enter and empty my purse and I could have easily done that I was carrying my husband’s ATM card but I wanted to test myself and came empty handed from the Health and Glow showroom, the only beauty store I visited in Mumbai. Is anyone inspired from my story? ;)
Okay, the review for now.
Product Description: Long lasting eyeshadow with a silky soft powder. Glides on effortlessly and each hue can be worn separately or blended to achieve custom colours and coverage. Each palette encloses 4 coordinating shades. Available in 9 colour harmonies.
Price: Rs. 595
I like the colors in the quad. I wanted a palette that could help me in getting that smoky eye look and I wanted it in one place so this quad seemed to be the obvious choice.
Colors are pretty and pigmented. I have not used any other eye shadow so I can not compare it with others but I think the pigmentation is okay. Staying power is a disappointment though!
These fade away in like 3-4 hours. I used a primer and still they stayed on only for about 3-5 hours. Thankfully the color didn’t crease, atleast I didn’t notice the crease.
Shades are really nice without the glitter particles. It is more of a matte texture. I can not show you the eye swatch of all the colors as I am yet to learn about eye makeup and I didn’t want to play a fool of my eye make up here But here is the swatch of the black color.
The four colors are: Illumina, colora, intensifica and delinea. I don’t know what language is this but this is how the colors are named on the pack.
It has got a twisted or an arrow shaped applicator which is a waste in my opinion. It is small but since it is in an arrow shape, it is quite difficult to use.
• Very pretty, wearable shades
• Black, grey and silver in one
• No glitter particles which is a plus for me
• Stays for a decent time
• Applicator is a waste
IMBB rating: 3/5
I would have liked it more if the colors were more pigmented and the applicator was a little better!
