Hello ladies,

I am back with another product from Deborah Milano. It’s an ink pot eyeliner called ‘Ultraliner Eyeliner’. Read on to know how well it did.

Product Description:
High-definition liquid eyeliner.

The felt nib is more comfortable and easier to use than ever before; the results are perfect. Hypoallergenic.*

How to Use:
Draw the eyeliner along your upper eyelid, as close as you can to the lash line. For an even more dramatic effect, extend the line a little beyond the outer corner of the eye, flicking it up slightly.

My Experience with Deborah Milano Nero Ultraliner Eyeliner:

I am currently making peace with the eyeliner from Deborah Milano for the definition it gives to the bold winged eyeliner look. I say that because the product disappointed me as far as the performance of the applicator goes. The ‘spongy’ applicator impacts the precision in an attempt to create a neat stroke. I am still trying to get a hang of this nib to obtain neat strokes. The eyeliner disappoints me also because it is not total value for money. You get very less of the product, especially when you are experimenting. 😛 In the process of experimenting, trying to nail a single and double winged eye liner, this is likely to last me a very little time if I continue my cat woman looks.

Although I am still stumbling at getting better at the art of eye makeup, I am also struggling to get hold of a fine pen to create fine lines. I believe, ‘Eyes speak volumes’ and in this case, truly a ‘A pen is mightier than the sword’. I think I am slowly getting there for which now I am opting for different type of eyeliners with interesting features. I am at a stage where I am narrowing down the eye liners, liquid skechers, ink pots, pencils and mascaras that I can opt for daily use. This activity helps me gain clarity on the product features, uses and if I have any particular look in my mind.

In this process, I am able to club different eye makeup based products like a twist type pencil, liner, mascara from the same parent company or club the same products from different brands, organize accordingly as per their features for regular use, must-haves or to nail any particular look. The experiment has been fine and fun so far. I am more than happy to share my mixed experiences here by which I get a better insight on my newly added products. Besides I end up organizing my vanity in this area making additions and deletions. That is how I happened to bump into this ultra eye liner from Deborah Milano.

I mostly just go for a bold winged eyeliner with this one. Without working on the lower lash line, I draw a thin line with a black pencil in not very obvious manner and I feel the look is complete; I feel satisfied. I also use this eye liner specifically to do the lower lash line sometimes mid way, just to spice up the look. Eyeliners on these lines with low precision and an intense black color sets instantly. This eye liner would give a stand out look.

If you can imagine Kylie Jenner’s plump lips with a well defined eye makeup, then that is what I am talking about! The eye liner comes in a tiny jar with a sharp conical cap. The packaging is ultra small and cute; like, it can pretty much fit into your palms. This ink pot eye liner is very light and easy to carry. Considering its advantages, you can wear it on-the-go as well. As far as what my memory serves me, after Lotus Herbals eye liner, I do not remember using many such eyeliners. Sketchers or liquid eye liner pens work best for me like MAC’s ‘Penultimate Eye Liner’.

My currently trusted eyeliners for precision are I use Maybelline Hyper sharp liner and Lakme’s ‘Absolute Shine Line’. Eyeliners score with me mostly for the applicator or the nib of the sketch, or pen as it is always easy to build up the color with an extra stroke. If the applicator is sloppy, even the richest of blacks can go wrong. The staying power of this eye liner is long and being smudge proof, I was happy as far these two factors are concerned. I did not have much to worry about. It is not waterproof though. The finish is semi-matte black that does eventually fade, so if you can coat again without disturbing your set make up, it can be done.

If you see the swatches, you can see how it gets set in no time. Also my apologies for my inability to create the not-so-perfect fine lined eye look. If you hold the cone, you would understand how it happened (sighs). If you are an artist, you will get it right initially with this wand, maybe in the first short. While still getting used to the applicator, I hope to create a perfect winged eyeliner. This eyeliner suits best to create any dramatic look. The roller ball inside the pot helps to stir and to keep the liquid flowing which is great since I do not see this as a potential, daily-wear eyeliner due to the price tag it carries along. With all that said, I look forward to sharing a prism of eye makeup products from my end.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Deborah Milano Nero Ultraliner Eyeliner?
No, I would not repurchase this eyeliner for the price and the imprecision. If you like to draw your eyes, if are a pro with a steady hand, only then I would say you can think about going for this one.

Verdict:
It suits best to create thick winged lines for an intense cat woman look!

  1. You have applied it beautifully, but I won’t be comfortable using it. I love Maybelline Hyper Sharp – it’s so comfortable to use and love the dark color. 🙂

    1. TY Shikha 🙂 although I must say that it is not that comfortable with work with and I second you on Maybelline’s Hyper Sharp in terms of the intense color as well 😀
