This look is inspired by Deepika Padukone’s makeup in the song “Lahu Muh Lagg Gaya” from her upcoming film Ram Leela. Deepika looks simple yet gorgeous in her village belle avatar, take a look:
Before I begin, I would like to tell everyone that this is a look inspired by her makeup . This is NOT an attempt to look like her! She has unique facial architecture, so one can do makeup looks inspired by her makeup but can not imitate her face! (unless you are strikingly similar to her).
Step 1 : Start off with prepped and primed eyes. If you were wearing kajal before you attempt this look, do not take it off completely. A little invisible black line will add to the look. Full brows are a very important part of the look. Fill in your brows with matte brown eyeshadow or a dark brown eyebrow pencil to give the required effect. Keep it subtle and try not to make it too dramatic!
Step 2 : Apply a champagne gold coloured eyeshadow all over the lids as a base. I have used Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Bold Gold.
Step 3: Add a muted golden brown colour over the base. I have used MAC Texturize.
Step 4 : Apply a matte brown eyeshadow all over the crease extending it a little beyond the eye.
Step 5: Using a blending brush, fade out the harsh edges of the brown eye shadow.
Step 6 : Bring down the brown eye shadow to the lower lash line.
Step 7 : Apply thin coats of mascara and add the champagne gold colour onto the inner corner.
Final Step: Add the essentials!
How do you like the look? My nose ring is giving me a more Maharashtrian look, but I could not find something similar to what Deepika is wearing here.
