I picked up two lipsticks online, I had noted them long back and were on my wish list, actually later on I added one more, all online. These lippies are matte, and creamy and they are soft like butter so when they reach me, they are all dented on the sides due to the creamy nature, but never mind, I will store them in the fridge.

I am not much fond of the bright packaging but it clicks lock, so it is fine with me. This shade is a true brick red, in a classic creamy matte finish. The pigmentation is through the roof, it is sooooo pigmented that you can use the lip brush and then spread it on like a lip stain. I have noticed this about all the DOL lippies, very pigmented and the quality is top of the line, I have never found them waxy or not soft, all of them are great, I own about five now, read them HERE

I love such classic brick reds, I can wear them all the time and if they are shimmer free and creamy like this one, then nothing like it.I am more then happy with the texture, the pigmentation and the shade.

Coming to the staying power, it stays on and on, it might get patchy after a meal because it is a really deep color, but you can count on this one for five hours at least. If you apply it with a lip brush it comes out more in control and even, since it is so buttery, sometimes applying directly could be a task.

Applied directly:

rosy lips (2)

Applied with a lip brush:
rosy lips (1)

Applied with some colorbar gloss on top:
red lipstick

Love these creamy lipsticks, though you have to be careful and store them in the fridge.I am very satisfied with all my DOL lippies so far.

OK this must come out as a weird question, but since we all know you care about your lipsticks so much, don’t you feel sad when the shape of the bullet gets a little spoiled when you use a lip brush rofl I know it’s a dumb question but I have always wondered *hihi*

As usual, beautiful swatches :)
