Trimming and tweezing:
This is a method for everybody and is the best way to shape and groom those brows. There are almost no chances of burning or damaging the skin with this method and there is no risk of too much hair being removed! It is a safe bet and safe method for doing your brows. You can use tweezers whenever necessary and if you are not comfortable then you can always go to a professional.
Waxing:
If you are looking for sculpted look and a bold statement, then you might consider waxing. Although, this process is not for the sensitive skin, as all the tugging and pulling can cause a lot of irritation. This process is also not so great for the long run as it increases the probability of developing premature wrinkles, especially around the eye area.
Threading:
It is the most common method for eyebrow hair grooming. Cotton threads are used to remove unwanted hair out of the follicle. As no chemicals are used, this method is actually quite safe but if you have a low pain threshold like me, then you won’t like it as much.
Tinting:
If you have naturally shaped brows, which are quite sparse and thin and you are tired of filling them everyday then you might consider tinting your brows. Tinting will give the brow, more dimensions and help it look thicker and fuller. In this process semi-permanent vegetable dye is applied to your brow hairs to give them a fuller appearance. The results are generally temporary and last for few months only.
Microblading:
This process is similar to tattooing. This process is perfect for those, who want to fully reconstruct, define, cover gaps, or fill-in over plucked brows. A special microblading pen is used to draw on individual strokes one by one before applying a tint over the incisions. This process allows you to alter the shape of your brows or make them appear thicker. It requires time to heal after which a touch-up might be needed. The effects last up to 12 to 18 months, and after that time the pigment often fades.
Extensions:
This is the newest brow-filling fad. In this process, brow technicians use tweezers to dip tiny synthetic hairs into skin-safe glue and then the hairs are individually applied to the skin. The results last for 2-3 weeks and you can achieve any brow shape with eyebrow extensions. Also, this is definitely a high maintenance process, and if you sweat too much, then it won’t last long. You are supposed to touch your brows, use a cleanser that is especially designed and your pillow will become your worst enemy, after getting eyebrow extensions.
