Hello Ladies!!

Today I will be reviewing a lipstick by Christian Dior. I have to tell you all that there’s this cosmetic store in Kolkata which is more than 100 years old and our family has been buying cosmetics and toiletries from the last three generations from them.

Now back to the lipstick, this is Rouge Dior in Pink Baiser shade no.361. The lipstick comes in deep blue packing with cane work motif and engraved CD signature on it.

Claims:

The brand claims that the lipstick is formulated with latest plumping hyaluronic acid microspheres. These help to boost the radiance and depth of the colour, when applied on the lips. The lipstick also offers the lips extreme splendour of full, smooth and perfectly defined youthfulness.

Price – INR 2100 for 3.5 gm

My take on Rouge Dior in Pink Baiser:

Well, I am a fan of pink lipsticks and whenever I spot a nice shade of the colour, I just can’t resist. Same was the case with this one. I have used Dior lipsticks earlier and I was aware that these are highly pigmented and almost non-transferable, so I did not think twice before buying it. This is a very pretty shade of pink, it does not have a peach tone to it rather it is more of that rosy pink colour. The lipstick is really creamy and smooth and yes very highly pigmented too. With just one swipe, you are good to go and would not need touch ups too. Even after eating, the lipstick will not disappear from the lips, it would probably just fade out slightly to give you a softer tone of pink on your lips but won’t vanish.

Another thing I really liked about it was that it does not settle in the creases and fine lines of your lips and glides perfectly, keeping your lips moisturized and supple. It does not feel sticky or uncomfortable either. If you have pigmented lips, you may feel initially that the lipstick is not very even when applied on the lips, just stroke it a bit with a lipstick brush and let it settle. This lipstick is very creamy and a bit glossy too, if you prefer matte lipsticks you can matte it out with a slight dab of talcum powder, this will also make you lipstick last longer.

Pros of Rouge Dior in Pink Baiser Shade:

– Long lasting and almost non- transferable.
– Comfortable on the lips, does not feel sticky and is very hydrating.
– Will not settle into the fine lines and creases of your lips.
– Will stay on for a long time even after eating.

Cons of Rouge Dior in Pink Baiser Shade:

– Availability in non-metro cities may be a problem.
– Since I have thin lips, I was expecting the lipstick to provide some plumping effect as mentioned in the claims, but I did not notice any such thing happening on my lips.
