Dirty Works All Of A Lather Body Wash Review

I’ll be reviewing a product from the brand ‘Dirty Works’. This is a UK based brand that is now available worldwide – I think this is available online in India as well. As soon as I saw the name and the packaging the only thing that comes to my brand is Soap and Glory.

I found these products to be reasonably priced and are available at drug stores in Australia. There are also cute gift sets available. I was also tempted by the travel packs with cute travel sized body butters. Soap and glory is not easily available here and is overpriced, so I wanted to try this brand and see if it could be a substitute.

Let’s start off with the review of ‘Dirty Works All Of A Lather Body Wash’.

My Experience with Dirty Works All Of A Lather Body Wash Review:

The packaging is blue in color, and is vintage inspired and look so much like Soap and Glory. One difference is this brand predominantly uses blue colour for packaging and not pink. I have seen shower gels, lotions, body butters, lip balms as well as facial care products. They also have an anti-cellulite cream just like Soap and Glory. This shower gel comes in a 200 ml tube and is a clear liquid. By looking at it, it didn’t seem to be creamy, so I was surprised by the claim “creamy body wash”.

The fragrance is quite strong, but energising. There is just a hint of lemon grass, but I also felt there was a slight synthetic smell to the body wash. It took a while to lather up and you need to use quite a bit of product to get lather. Second time around, I used the sponge that came with it and a little product goes for longer with the shower puff.

When you squeeze the body wash out of the lovely packaging it is a clear Body Wash, I personally like girly coloured body washes, but that also means more chemicals.

After washing off my skin doesn’t feel dry, but not moisturised either. Because, it claims to be a creamy body wash, I expected it to moisturise my skin a little bit. I had high expectations for this shower gel as I have already used a couple of other products from this brand and was impressed with them. This is a decent product, but nothing to write home about.

Pros of Dirty Works All Of A Lather Body Wash:

• Cute vintage inspired girly packaging.
• Tube packaging is easy to use in the shower and is not slippery.
• Lemon grass fragrance is refreshing .
• Cleanses and refreshes skin without drying it .
• Reasonably priced.

Cons of Dirty Works All Of A Lather Body Wash:

• Smells a little bit synthetic, at least to me.
• Even though it claims to be a creamy shower gel, it doesn’t add any moisture to skin

Will I Repurchase/Recommend Dirty Works All Of A Lather Body Wash?

I wouldn’t repurchase this. But, if you are fond of lemon grass scent, you might like this as it is a decent shower gel which does its job well.
