DIY Hair Oil for Dark, Lustrous and Long Hair

Hope you all had a lovely and safe Diwali. Today I’ll be sharing a hair oil DIY with you that will keep your hair problems at bay. Let’s get started with the DIY!

1. Sesame Oil

2. Hair Oil Masala*

3. Water

Method:

1. For 250 ml of sesame oil, take 50 gm of the masala.

2. Adding about 1 tbsp water at a time, make a dough out of the masala.

3. You just have to make sure that when you pinch the powder together, it should bind well.

4. Now heat sesame oil for about 5-6 minutes on medium flame.

5. When the oil is hot enough, take a spoon and carefully place the dough into the oil.

6. Keep the dough in the oil till the oil becomes a dark maroon in colour, and the dough becomes black.

7. Now turn off the flame and let the whole thing cool off completely.

8. Strain the oil and it is now ready to use!

Usage:

Use this oil twice a week and wash your hair like you do normally.

Note:

1. You can get the hair oil masala at any ayurvedic store. If not, you can make it yourself by adding powders of amla, reetha, shikakai, henna, hibiscus etc. and combining it together. Just add any powder that you feel could do wonders to your hair. I bought mine off a local shop, and it is available at very low rates.

2. Make sure that you make the dough with very little water.
3. If you have added little water, the oil won’t splash.
4. Take help of elders if you aren’t too sure about doing it.
5. If you want to use any other oil, you can. But I prefer sesame oil.
