My Experience with Boots Essentials Firming Shower Cream:

I got this shower cream only because my skin has become dry in the winters, so I thought a shower cream would be more moisturizing than a shower gel. This one comes in a sea-green coloured bottle made of thick plastic. The bottle is sturdy. It has a transparent flip cap which is very hard to open and close.

The shower cream looks like gel. It has a hint of sea green hue to it.  The consistency is runny, typical Boots consistency. It smells good and the scent does linger around, but only for exactly five minutes! The shower cream foams very well. It’s very soft and gentle on the skin. It does make the skin soft. The skin “feels” a bit firm after use, it’s not noticable though.

You feel clean and fresh after using this shower cream. It did not dry out my skin, in fact did moisturize my skin a little bit, but I also used my lotion after bath, it’s my habit to do so. This shower cream does not feel soapy at all after washing unlike my previous Boots shower gels, which is a plus.

Summing up the pros and cons:

Pros of Boots Essentials Firming Shower Cream:

• Affordable.
• Nice fragrance.
• Good quantity.
• Does not feel soapy after washing off.
• Does not dry out the skin.
• Moisturises and makes skin soft.
• Skin feels a bit firm.

Cons of Boots Essentials Firming Shower Cream:

• The flip cap is hard to open.
• Very light fragrance.

Final Verdict:

It’s worth a try for 210 INR.  It does not feel itchy or soapy or dry post use, good for winters.
