How can a festive makeup be complete without a good base. A good base comes from a good foundation or a BB cream, isnt’ that so? I have used a couple of BB creams, but the only one that I liked was the Lakme CC (not BB :P) Cream. After a couple of disasters, I gave up and was going good with MAC Face and Body Foundation that blends seamlessly and gives a healthy glow to my parched skin. On my last trip to Sephora, I spotted this BB cream from Dr. Brandt which promises to blend with the skin color and adjust with it, please read ahead to know more about this product.

Dr. Brandt recommends: Shake well prior to each application. Apply a small amount, evenly to face. Blend well until desired coverage is achieved. My Experience with Dr. Brandt Flexitone BB Cream:
I love my foundation or base, whatever you say, to be uniform and natural looking. I never look for matte ones as my skin is too dry. When the SA at Sephora gave me a demo of this BB cream, I knew I had to try it, but I was in two minds because of the price. Then, a stroll around the store, and I ended picking up NARS Cruella Lip Pencil and NARS sharpener. Finally, after having another look at this Dr. Brandt product, I decided to pick this as well. This BB cream has an amazing consistency and it’s hydrating, but looks dark when out of the tube, but then it adjusts to the skin color.
Texture and Application: Creamy and dense is the word for texture, but does not feel too heavy to clog the skin. You just need a pea-sized amount, but blending is needed, otherwise it might look caked up.
Coverage: Since it’s a BB cream, I didn’t expect too much coverage, but the coverage it provides is better than an average BB cream. It covers all the little marks on my skin well.
Staying Power: It’s very creamy, so the staying power is not too great and during the humid summer days, the staying power gets down further. So, I have reserved it to wear during winters when my skin can do well with a bit of more moisture.
Pros of Dr. Brandt Flexitone BB Cream:
- Free from some nasty chemicals.
- Matches my skin tone.
- Creamy texture.

Cons of Dr. Brandt Flexitone BB Cream:
- Might be a bit too heavy for summers.
- There’s just a single shade that’s available.
- Expensive.

Do I Recommend Dr. Brandt Flexitone BB Cream?
It’s better than average, but not something that you can’t do without, so after it ends, I am not sure whether I would repurchase it because at this price, there are better choices available.
