Foundation is a very basic makeup product that all of us use to get even skin tone. Perfectly applied makeup base is the first step in any makeup routine. There are many ways in which you can apply foundation. Personally, I prefer using my fingers to blend as it gives me leverage to manoeuvre and get the desired result. Some girls like to use a foundation brush but frankly speaking I am not an expert in using those. I had been eyeing the beauty blender for a long time but it always seemed out of budget! So this time I decided to try my hands on these very economical blending wedges to start my sponging journey.

My Experience with e.l.f. Blending Wedges:
These wedges are packed in a very cute and handy circular wheel-like case. These 8 off-white colored wedges can be carried around easily in your bag and vanity kit. The angular shape of the wedge makes it easier to work in areas like corner of your eyes or nose. They work well with corners or create sharp edges. It would have been great if the size was a little bigger to work on large areas like cheeks or forehead.
They can be used wet or dry. You can get a flawless base makeup by using these wedges for blending. I use them to get an even foundation coverage. Haven’t tried any other product yet but I am keen to see how it will work with creamy blush or shadow. If you want to use it wet, then rinse it under warm water and squeeze all the water out of it. Just dab foundation on your face in dots and blend using the sponge. Alternatively, you can dispense foundation directly on the sponge and start blending.
The wedges have a good absorbing quality that allows for seamless finish by absorbing any excess product on your face. I am sure they will work with all cream-based products. It is easier to clean the wedges. Soak them in lukewarm soapy water and rinse after sometime with fresh clean water. Only problem is the mild stains that are left behind even after cleaning the wedges.

I am really impressed by the quality of products that e.l.f. offers at such affordable price! You can’t ask for more in $1. This is a great product for everyday makeup and if you are starting your blending journey like me.
