E.L.F. Studio Blush Tickled Pink Review

Amigo Girls! After quite a long time, I am back with an E.L.F. product. It is E.L.F. Studio Blush in shade Tickled Pink. I heard so many people and bloggers talking about this shade and I wondered why it isn’t reviewed on IMBB. So, I picked this for review purpose only, else I am not at all a fan of E.LF. blushes. The only thing I love so much from the brand is their mineral lipstick range. Let’s see if this succeeds to impress me.

My Experience with E.L.F. Studio Blush Tickled Pink:

The reason why this shade from E.L.F. Studio blush collection is quite sought after is that some online blogs compare it as the cheapest drugstore dupe of NARS Orgasm. Though, I don’t own NARS orgasm, so far (it’s on my wish list, off course), but my personal opinion is that E.L.F. Tickled Pink is really far from what NARS orgasm looks like in terms of finish. However, I found the shade Twinkle Pink a closer dupe to NARS Orgasm.

Packaging: The blush comes in the exactly same packaging as E.L.F. Studio pressed powder; in a matte black pan. It’s a bit heavy, which closes tight. It includes a small mirror inside. The product is sealed and protected with a plastic sheet carefully and no applicator included. I kind of liked the engraved e.l.f on the surface of the blush. The packaging is sturdy and travel friendly. Though the card-box is a pain to open!

Texture and finish: There is no denying in the fact that the product is finely milled and perfectly compacted. The texture is smooth, silky and soft. I think E.L.F. Studio blushes are in the ‘hit list’ of E.L.F. products. E.L.F. has always got a share of hits and misses in it’s product ranges. It contains a small amount of extremely micro sized shimmers, which I think does no contribution to the overall finish. It is actually matte. The texture is not powdery or chalky, though the ingredient list clearly indicate presence of talc. The blending comes as the best part of the blush, as the soft texture makes it blend like butter. It doesn’t accentuate wrinkles. There is no fallout issue in the pan.

Colour and pigmentation: The shade is a general peachy-pink shade with matte finish. Unfortunately, the pigmentation is on the poor side. The colour won’t even show up properly on medium skin tones without plenty of brush strokes. It will only show up on fair/light complexions effortlessly. Plus, the matte effect without any radiance doesn’t look extraordinary and the overall look is like you wear a neutral toned blush. It is a sheer blush overall.

Longevity and transferability: Because of the pigmentation, the longevity is merely 3-4 hours when applied slightly heavy. It transfers a bit to mobile phone screens.

Pros of E.L.F. Studio Blush Tickled Pink:

  • Everyday wear peachy pink blush, on the sheer side with matte finish.
  • Soft, smooth and finely milled texture.
  • Really bendable, effortlessly.
  • No fallout issues in pan.
  • No accentuation of wrinkles, no clogging of pores.
  • Travel friendly packaging.

Cons of E.L.F. Studio Blush Tickled Pink:

  • Poor pigmentation.
  • Very common shade.
  • Poor longevity.
  • Needs lots of swipes to build colour.
  • Pricey if you get for $6.5!!

IMBB Rating:

3.5/5. Generously, only because the product description already clarifies it’s a sheer blush.

Would I repurchase/recommend E.L.F. Studio Blush Tickled Pink?

Oh no way! I will better keep looking for better brand blushes rather than collecting not so impressive stuff. I won’t repurchase, though might be someday I pick up the Twinkle Pink shade. Better skip this for sure. Ciao beautiful girls.
