e.l.f. Studio Small Tapered Brush Review

Hello fellow IMBBians!!!
I have not yet mastered the art of contouring my face; because first, I don’t have time to do it on that regular basis and second, my face is too small and round to work with. But my lack in skill does not deter me from buying tools of trade. This brush is the most recent addition to my humble vanity in the hope that it will make contouring easier for me.

Use with powder to set under the eye, on the hollows of the cheek to contour with bronzer, or use with foundation to achieve a light finish.
How to: To apply powders use a dusting motion on the face. When applying liquid foundation use upward and outward strokes.

My Experience with e.l.f. Studio Small Tapered Brush:-

I have several blush brushes but not a single dedicated contouring brush hence I bought this one because it is tapered and fluffy something like Real Technique contouring brush.
Packaging: it might just be a $3 brush but it sure does not look like one – it has a very classy and expensive finish. It is all black with black bristles; they are packed in a steel holder which is then attached to a plastic holder. On the plastic holder ‘e.l.f. small tapered brush’ words are written in white.

Brush Bristle Quality: they are synthetic bristles and are super soft and fluffy like those expensive brushes.
Product Distribution: It does a decent job at slathering product on face because of tapered finish and fluffy part helps to blend out the product well.
Bristle Density: very dense hence the finished look appears well blended and perfect.
Cleaning: this brush is easy to clean and dry (just put in upright position to drain out all the water) and it does not shed as most of the cheap brushes are expected to do.

Usage: It is absolutely perfect for contouring and highlighting. The tapered part of brush allows for very precise color application and then it gets wider and fluffier so the product can be blended out. It’s great for dark contouring, sweeping highlight along the cheekbones and it can be used for blush as well. One can pick up a little amount of product at a time and blend and continue this process until one achieves the desired look. It is good for people like me who have small face and find it hard to contour their face. I also use it to apply powder under my eyes to prevent kajal from smudging and prevent my concealer from creasing.

Pros of e.l.f. Studio Small Tapered Brush:

• Travel friendly packaging and easy to store.
• Easy to wash and dry.
• Soft synthetic bristles.
• No shedding.

Cons of e.l.f. Studio Small Tapered Brush:

• First time wash might cause brush dye to wash away but this happens only the first time.

Would I Repurchase e.l.f. Studio Small Tapered Brush?
No because it would last me a while and I like to try out new products every time but I do recommend it to my readers especially who are new with the whole makeup scenario and don’t want to shell out large amount of money.
