Since brushes are such an integral part of makeup routine, I decided to finally splurge on a brush kit. Ecotools is a trusted name in the world of makeup tools, and the quality of their brushes is beyond question. It seemed the perfect companion for travels and yes, I am so happy I purchased this. Today, I am reviewing reviewing Ecotools Mini Essentials Set.

Since this brush kit is intended to be a travel go-to, the packaging is compact and small. The mini brushes are encased in a hard plastic case, which is packed into a cardboard box. It is definitely easy to carry about, and the packaging contains everything you need to know about the product. The packaging too is eco-friendly, with recyclable PET and post-consumer recycled paper.

My Experience with Ecotools Mini Essentials Set:

The brushes are incredibly soft! I mean, it’s just like a feather touch against your delicate facial skin. Combine it with the fact that the brushes are vegan and cruelty free, and you have a killer brush set! There are three brushes in the kit, meant for shading, finishing and defining. You can broadly define them as the shadow brush, powder brush and an angled liner brush.

Let’s delve into the details of each:

Eye shading brush: It is perfect for applying and blending shadows on the crease and all-over lids. It is fluffy and dense, and very soft. The blending power is awesome, and with a light touch, I can apply my powdery shadows.

It picks up the optimum amount of product, and glides on softly against the delicate eye area. I also use this for applying highlighter on my brow bone and for dusting light powder underneath my eyes or over lids. Definitely my one of my most used brushes.

Full powder brush: A powder brush is an absolute necessity, finding the one that works for you is a dream come true. Pat your powder or blush with this and slowly blend. Enjoy the soft bristles blending the product, perfecting the canvas.

It is a multi-tasker, so powder, blush, highlighter; you can use this for many purposes and with great results.

Angled Eyeliner Brush: I am not much into gel or cake liners, but I do use this for applying cream shadows and defining my eyes. If you are someone who swears by gel liners, this one would definitely amp up your game. It helps in creating precise and sharp defined eyes, which look flattering. The tip is helpful in creating the perfect winged eye liners and any flicks you want.

The bamboo handles of these brushes add to the aesthetic appeal and definitely look alluring yet earthy. They can be cleaned easily, and they don’t lose their shape or bristles after washing. I can’t stop praising this baby enough, this is a perfect brush set for basic makeup while on the go.
