Festive season is going to kick start soon and a lot of us are probably making mental notes on the ongoing fashion trends to look fashion forward during the festivals. All the festivals and get-together events make the second half of the year dearer to me. After I had my baby, I have done lots of shopping to upgrade my wardrobe, but I am yet to upgrade my makeup as I have stuff with me from last year that’s still lying unopened. One such product which I had bought last year, but started using just now, is this lip gloss from ELF that I am going to review today. These Ex-tras lip glosses have “boy” names and it’s to make your “ex” want you back 😛 This lip gloss claims to make your lips look so good that your ex will regret why he let you go 😛

My Experience with ELF Brian Ex-tra Lip Gloss:

“Brian” is a baby pink shade with subtle shimmer. It is a beautiful pink shade which my pigmented lips do not do justice to. On naturally pink lips or on top of a nu*e pink lipstick, it will look really good. The shimmers in it are not very chunky but are visible in flashy lighting. This is a good choice for girls who like baby pink natural-looking glossy lips. It is quite opaque, but for my lips, I prefer wearing a lipstick underneath with this.

This gloss comes in a transparent plastic tube with white cap. The applicator is a bit different than the traditional slant lip gloss applicator. This applicator is long and thin and because of that, it picks a lot of product every time. Therefore one dip is sufficient for one application. Talking of lasting power, it stays for 2-3 hours without eating and drinking and does not survive meals. It feels moisturizing till it is there on the lips.

Overall, this lip gloss formula is good at this price and “Brian” is a beautiful everyday wear shade. However, if you have pigmented lips like mine, wearing it alone is out of question.

So buy it if you have naturally pink lips which you want to enhance or want your n*de lipstick to look more pink, else skip it.
