Elf Brownie Points Smudge Pot Review

I had been eyeing these ELF beauties for a while now, but never dared buy them for I didn’t want them to end up in trash. There are several paint pots by other brands too, but either they are too expensive or get bad reviews. However, I bought this one since it was available in the shade that I wanted. Keep reading to know more about it.

My Experience with Elf Brownie Points Smudge Pot:

I find paint pots very versatile. They can be used in various innovative ways depending upon the consumer. They can be used as an individual eye shadow or eye shadow base or as an eye liner or eye brightener or face highlighter (depending upon the shade). This product, in similar manner, can be used in several ways and just for $3, one gets to put one product to multiple uses.

Packaging: As the name suggests, the product comes in a pot or rather a transparent, plastic jar with a white, opaque twist up cap. The walls of the pot are really thick; hence very less volume of the pot actually contains the product.

Texture: It is very creamy, but not as creamy as Maybelline Color Tattoos. Still, it is a good competitor and can easily replace the former. Since it is so creamy, it is easy to apply on the lids, but if one wants a smokey look or a more blended look, one has to work fast since it settles within a matter of seconds and does not budge after that.

Color: Very pretty brown shade with gold-champagne undertones.

Pigmentation: Very good pigmentation. Even just a swirl inside the pot gives immense pigmentation. Two swipes are enough to get an intense eye look. It might be very creamy, but it works in favor since it does not crease and while applying it as an eye liner, it does not smudge easily either.

Wear Time: It lasts the entire day or rather 9 to 5 working hours. It is one of those products which do not require a primer to increase their wear time or to intensify the look.

Conclusion: This is a very good product for the money paid. There are nine shades to choose from and are good competitors for other paint pots available in the market.
