ELF Contour Palette Review

Hey all,

So today I am very excited to review the ELF contour palette which I recently purchased. The blush palette has become quite famous from the brand and since I have already tried that, I decided I should try this contour palette too. Everyone raves about the ABH contour kit and since there are no contour palettes at the drugstore except this one, I thought I should give this a try. Read on to know how well this palette worked for me.

My Experience with ELF Contour Palette:

Packaging: I absolutely love the packaging. It reminds me of products from the brand NARS. Even though this product has plastic packaging, it looks high end and classy. It is great for travelling too. The other good thing is that the shades can be removed and replaced. So if you have their foundation, bronzer, blush and contour palettes, you can pick your own favourite and customize it into one travel palette.

Texture and Pigmentation: These powders are a little chalky but they are infused with Vitamin E which is amazing. They are quite soft and glide on easily. You don’t have to break your hands blending them out at all. They are pigmented just right which is good because sometimes with products that are over-the-top pigmented, you tend to make mistakes. I am enjoying the texture and pigmentation of this palette so far.

The time I spotted this palette, I wanted it! The look and four colours are great for almost every skin tone. The first shade is a proper white powder which has glitter particles in it and fair skin tones can use it as a soft highlight or use it to top crème highlights.
The second shade is a banana-coloured setting powder which I use the most. It sets the concealer well and brightens a little too. I have been using this 2nd shade non-stop.
The third shade is more of a bronzer than a contour shade. If you are really fair, then you can use the third shade as your contour. It has slight pink undertones and I usually use it as a bronzer.
The fourth shade is the perfect contour shade with grey undertones. It does have grey undertones but it blends beautifully and doesn’t leave any ashy look on the skin.

These powders are a dream to blend. Make sure you don’t use a large brush with these otherwise you will end up losing too much product. They do fall out and are quite powdery but they are soft at the same time so I have no complaints about the powdery fact.
The only issue is that I barely use the first and third shade to be frank. I wish they had a palette which had only the 2nd and 4th shade. I am sure a lot of women would buy it. Nonetheless, I love this contour palette at the moment and it is definitely a worthy product from the drugstore.

Pros of ELF Contour Palette:

• Easy to blend.
• Travel friendly.
• Affordable.
• Soft texture.
• The banana setting powder is perfect.
• It has vitamin E.
• Good quality.
• Great pigmentation.
• Will suit many skin tones.

Cons of ELF Contour Palette:

• Most of the women will barely use the 1st and 3rd shade.
• A little powdery.
• Using a large brush will swipe off too much product and you might end up wasting it.

IMBB Rating: 4.5/5

Would I Repurchase ELF Contour Palette?
I am in love with this palette at the moment but I will not repurchase because I want to try other contour palettes!
