ELF Contouring Blush and Bronzing Powder – Turks Caicos Review

I love to wear bronzer to add a little depth to the hollows of my cheeks and give a well-chiseled look to my face. I have a bunch of bronzers, but most of them are either too light or too dark, or too shimmery. I bought this duo from ELF because it looked like something that would complement my skin tone and also seemed to be a good dupe of NARS bronzer.  Read further to know more about this shade.

My Take on ELF Contouring Blush and Bronzing Powder – Turks Caicos:

These blush duos by ELF are good dupes of NARS blushes because they have HD finish and awesome pigmentation; however, they are better because they are much cheaper and come in a pretty, sophisticated packaging.

Packaging:  This duo has the same packaging as that of NARS duo bronzers but obviously with ELF written on the top. The case holds two rectangular pans with the blush and the bronzer pressed in them and it also comes with an in-built mirror.

Texture:  It’s a compact powder bronzer with little fall out and mild shimmer. The lighter shade has more shimmer compared to the darker one and this works well for me. It is very smooth and feels light on the skin. Texture is on the plus side because it makes blending easy and fast and gives a satin finish if only bronzer is used or dewy finish if highlighting shade is used as well.

Color:  Dark mud brown bronzer shade with mild shimmer and light buff color with more obvious shimmer for highlighting purpose.

Pigmentation:  Commendable pigmentation and gives the right amount of color payoff for a bronzer. When applied with a tapered brush or contouring blush, it adds more depth to my cheeks. Start with just the tiniest dab on the brush and work up from there as per the required intensity of color. The paler skin tone beauties don’t require multiple swipes, but someone with deeper skin tone like mine would require more product and blending.

Shimmer and Shine:  Both the the colors have shimmer – one more than latter – darker shade has milder shimmer and lighter shade has more.

Staying Power:  Staying power is really impressive and it will easily last the entire day or till it is removed. The appearance of accentuated cheeks does fade a little with time, but still not worth complaining about.

This is a very pretty bronzer and highlighter duo and there are four more shade variants, most of these colors have good reviews online. All the duos have a combination of brown and pink , each with varying intensity of color and almost everyone can find a shade which will complement their skin tone.
