Elf Lock On Gel Liner Want It Brown Review

Greetings fellow bloggers!

In several previous posts I have mentioned that I am not that fond of colored eye liners but they keep creeping into my vanity. The product in this post, however, is a free gift I received with an online makeup haul (Perks of online shopping  ). I have mixed feelings about this product. Keep reading to know more about it.

Product Description:
This unique gel based eyeliner is smudge resistant, fade proof, and lasts all day. The creamy formula can create bold lines or can be blended with the sponge tip applicator for a smokey look. It provides a long wearing, high performance look on both the inner rims and eyelids. Sharpen with your favorite sharpener or get ours here to get the most out of your liner.

My Experience with Elf Lock On Gel Liner Want It Brown:

I have several browns and golden toned eye liners because they suit my skin tone and also make my eyes appear bigger. I usually use them along with black eye liner so that they are more visible. Most gel liners are either way too creamy, that they give raccoon eyes or are too hard to get any type of color payoff. This Elf eye liner, however, lies in the middle of the two extremes and gives a good color payoff even though it is not super buttery.

Packaging: Product comes in a sharpen-able pencil form. The pencil has a dark brown body and a clear plastic cap to keep the tip safe. The other end of the pencil has a sponge tip which can be used as a smudger but personally I found it too stiff to work with.

Texture: not too buttery neither too hard but one sweep gives a good color and in few seconds it dries to an almost smudge – proof finish. Only glitch is that a lot of product gets wasted when these pencils are sharpened.

Color: a blackened shimmery bronze – Want it brown is a deceiving name since it is more of bronze than brown.
Pigmentation: One stroke gives a nice brown color and one need not go over water line or lids again and again to increase the intensity.

Wear time: once applied do not mess with it for atleast 15 seconds and that’s it; enjoy bronze smudge proof look for an entire day or as long as one does not mess with it too much. It gives a good wear time on water line as well but, the wear time might vary from person to person. One can use a loose powder on lids or a primer to prevent it from creasing or smudging.

Would I Repurchase Elf Lock On Gel Liner Want It Brown?
No because I might never finish it because I don’t wear colored eye liner as often as black but since it a nice bronze shade I will be using it more than other colored eye liners. All those who are into colored liners should wear these $3 beauties, they are worth it.
