Hello friends!
Hope you are enjoying your day! Today, I am reviewing a BB cream from e.l.f. for you all!
Price:
$6 for 30g
My Experience with elf Studio BB Cream SPF 20:
The e.l.f. Studio BB Cream is available in six shades – Fair, Buff, Nude, Beige, Medium and Dark. I got the shade “Nude” and it is a good match for me.
The BB cream comes packaged in a black, squeeze tube with a transparent window which lets you see the actual color of the BB cream. The tube also has a pump. While a pump is not mandatory with a squeezy tube, it does helps in getting out the precise amount of product that you would need. The amount of product that is dispensed with one pump is actually quite less. I usually use three pumps for my face and neck.
This BB cream has the consistency of a moisturizer/lotion. It is not as thick as a traditional foundation, which makes it very easy to spread on the face and blend. You can choose to use a brush or just apply it with your fingers. I just use my fingers with this as it blends so easily and quickly. It does not highlight any dry patches on the skin.
Being a BB cream, I did not expect much coverage from this, but I was surprised to see that it provides medium coverage. There is a mild pleasant fragrance which I really love. The BB cream gives a satin finish, which looks very skin-like. It does not look cakey or greasy. You can choose to use a setting powder on top, depending upon your skin type. Since I have very oily skin, I use a light dusting of setting powder. I see that my T-zone starts getting oily after 4 hours and I touch-up the powder around mid-day. But, the BB cream as such lasts through the day, for over 8 hours.
This BB cream claims to “prime, protect, moisturize”. As far a priming is concerned, I find that it blurs the effects of pores, but does not fill them in completely or make them disappear! The BB cream contains SPF 20. While it may not be sufficient protection for a longer exposure time, I am still glad it is there for the days when I am planning to stay indoors.
As for the claim to moisturize is concerned, I find that in summers, I can use this even without a moisturizer, but in the winters, it is not enough.

• Provides a satin finish which is skin like

• Does not look greasy or cakey
Cons of elf Studio BB Cream SPF 20:

I loooooove BB creams and am really interested in getting this one for its medium coverage. Also, it is not pricey. Only if I could get it in India. 🙁
I like elf, I really do. I know it has it’s own list of hits and misses but which brand doesn’t right? I would love to try this BB cream for the same reason! 😀
