This review is about one of my most favorite cosmetics,a lipstick.Yup.I just love lipsticks.I go all crazy for pinks mostly. This one is about a pink lippy too.

It is from the brand Elizabeth Arden, about the lippy Ceramide Ultra Lipstick in the shade Peony (Shade#20).

About Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Ultra Lipstick-Peony:

It’s a beautiful pink shade with loads of golden shimmer in it and has blue undertones. At times it seems kind of fluorescent also I can say. I personally love the shade as I am in for anything pink. But the golden shimmer in this lippy is not all that fine, it feels grainy on the lips, I guess that is why it does not glide smoothly on the lips and is a bit drying when applied alone. The shade can be worn at evenings or for a night party but would look a bit too flashy during day-time as the shimmer is a bit two-dimensional.

My experience with Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Ultra Lipstick-Peony:

It does suit my medium skin tone with just one or two swipes but gliding it more than that makes my skin tone look washed out.It is very drying but can be managed if a lip balm is applied beneath it. It settles in fine lines due to its grainy texture which I don’t really like. The staying power of this one is not so convincing as it wears off quickly due to its dry texture. But nonetheless…I love the color of this lippy and would recommend this to girls with wheat-ish to fair skin tone. It would not really suit darker skin tones as it would make them look washed out.

Pros of Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Ultra Lipstick-Peony:

1. Beautiful color.
2. Suits Medium to Fair skin tone.

Cons of Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Ultra Lipstick-Peony:

1. Too pricey for a lipstick.
2. Grainy and drying texture, needs to be used with a lip balm or topped off with a lip gloss.
3. Not easily available locally.
