Elle 18 Nude Beige Color Boost Lipstick Review

So Elle 18 has launched the new color boost range of lipsticks. As soon as I heard of it I had to pick it up as Elle 18 was the first brand of lipsticks I purchased during my teen years. Most of the girls have used Elle 18 sometime in their life because it is quite affordable and is of nice quality also. Let me get on with the review…

Price: This retails for Rs. 150(I got it for 140)

My Experience with Elle 18 Nude Beige Color Boost Lipstick:

Packaging:
They have increased the price but still it is okay for me because the quality has also changed a little bit. They have also changed their packaging. The lipstick comes in a bullet type of case but not the usual black one; they have changed the color of the cap to hot pink which looks cool. The cap shuts with a strong click sound and be sure to close it properly or else the cap will fall off and your product can get damaged.

Texture and Pigmentation:
It is very creamy in texture. There is no tugging or pulling at all during application. It is not completely matte but of satin finish. I had swatched some other shades at the store and some of the lipsticks from this range had shimmer particles in it. It has the typical smell of Elle 18 lipsticks. It does not feel heavy on my lips at all. It doesn’t bleed either so you might skip lip liner if you want. It has the dual core thing going on but it is a bit different from the other lipsticks; the dual shade is a bit lighter than the original lipstick color. It is very moisturizing on my lips but yes it does dry out lips after around 3 hours of application.

I am not saying that it horribly dries my lips but it starts to feel dry. The pigmentation is amazing you get almost the full coverage with just 2 swipes. I will say that its application is a little bit streaky and I hope that is the case with only lighter shades. I picked this color because I love nude shades but my sister snatched it as soon as she saw this shade because she also has started to like nude shades nowadays. So I gave it to her as a gift.

Staying Power:
It stays on my lips without snacking for a good 4 hours and then it fades evenly leaving a beautiful stain behind. It does not survive meals at all.

• Does not accentuate dry lips.
• Decent staying power.

Cons of Elle 18 Nude Beige Color Boost Lipstick:

• Staying power could have been better but can’t really complain at this price.

Will I Repurchase Elle 18 Nude Beige Color Boost Lipstick?
No as I would definitely like to try out other shades. 🙂
